Re: XL2420T And strobing = input lag?

Is the input lag on the newer Z monitors reduced by going to 144 Hz instead of 120? If so, how much of a reduction is there? (I do realize that motion clairity is reduced W/ the higher refresh rate unfortunately)

Re: ROLL CALL: Who uses LightBoost=10%?

Just got a XL2420TE, I use LB = 10%, anything higher than that is painfully bright. 10% does an excellent job of freezeing motion. If it could go any lower I would likely use that setting as well (i.e. 5%) as it is still slightly too bright for my eyes.

Re: Best Twitch-Type Gaming LCD?

Is it merely by the nature of strobing that this input lag exists? I.e. it is waiting until the entire LCD is refreshed (top to bottom) and then it strobes to show the entire refreshed frame whereas in non-strobed you see the picture during the refresh which shows you a refreshed centre screen earli...

Re: Best Twitch-Type Gaming LCD?

Does anyone know what the input lag difference is between the various strobeing methods?

ULMB VS Lightboost VS BenQ ? Are they all similar?

Re: Best Twitch-Type Gaming LCD?

Thanks for the responses so far. Chief, which do you believe is better at freezing the action? 144Hz Benq Montion Blur or 120 Hz Nvidia ULMB? If ULMB one has the advantage and someone proves it works on AMD maybe that is the direction I will go. Are both of these steps up from the current hash of mo...

Best Twitch-Type Gaming LCD?

Hello All, I play competitive Natural Selection 2, which is a very fast paced FPS game where tracking very fast moving enemies is absolutely critical to being good at the game, and I was wondering what would be a good FPS focused monitor for it? I can hit upwards of 170 FPS in the game @ 1080P (and ...
