Re: HOWTO: Blacklisting or whitelisting G-SYNC for specific apps (forcing G-SYNC ON/OFF for just one app, etc)
Its the Alienware 2725 (OLED). I've seen this on 2 different models though, previously the Alienware 3423 ultrawide. If I disable Gsync from NVCP but then set it on the global profile, it will actually flip Gsync back on at NVCP like the 2 settings are connected. If I leave Gsync on but set global ...

Re: HOWTO: Blacklisting or whitelisting G-SYNC for specific apps (forcing G-SYNC ON/OFF for just one app, etc)
I know this is old so I apologize. But I have an issue with this whitelist/blacklist process. If I have Gsync enabled then launch a game where I have a specific profile setup set to Fixed Refresh, it does correctly disable gsync. If I then close that game and launch any other Gsync game, Gsync never ...

Re: a couple questions
Panjno makes decent content for casual viewers but nothing compared to the testing and knowledge of someone like Jorimt here. With RTSS limiters you can easily "prove" the frametimes are better so its great for his content but he does not account for the actual added 1/2 frame input lag a limiter ...

Re: Frametime spikes in Fortnite...
I did some tests:
- RTSS enabled, using keyboard - Press W and hold it to move character causes one frametime drop. When I release W to stop the character - another frametime drop.
- RTSS enabled, using controller - zero issues
- RTSS disabled, using keyboard - zero issues.
First thought is there ...

Re: Decisions decisions 360 vs 500 as a g-sync gamer
Assuming price is not a factor then, from a competitive standpoint, sure the 500hz monitor would be best if you are concerned with only input latency. That assumes the monitor itself functions correctly and has good color/display/blur/sync controls to your liking. There are diminishing returns ...

Re: need some help
Micro stutters could be caused by many different factors, many of which may not be sync related. With that said, always use your monitors highest refresh rate to minimize the impact of those "stutters." Where you cap your framerate is somewhat personal preference but I like to cap mine to a point ...

Re: Strange behavior I just noticed with Overwatch 2
Jorimt, since you have OW2 now would you mind testing another odd behavior I noticed? So OW engine has an interesting indicator on its in-game FPS monitor where it can show dots at the end which mean different things. Per Blizzard, 1 dot after your fps means SIM bound (which I understand to be ...

Re: NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency - How It Works & Why You Want To Use It
Is the fps limit that Reflex applies (when Vsync+Gsync on) the same as the NVCP max frame rate limit? I know there are differences between RTSS limit, nvcp limit, and in-game limits, in terms of input latency, so I'm curious which is the lowest-latency method for limiting.
As an example. With OW2 ...
