After overthinking a lot, I grabbed this XG270 to upgrade my XL2720Z on my arcade machine and boy, this thing is marvelous. I'm pleasantly surprised that PureXP doesn't take a big hit on brightness even on its Extreme setting.

Any news on upcoming monitors? I just want a 27 inch, IPS and 60hz single strobe one. So far I think only the Eve Spectrums meet this criteria but they're so hard to find. It'd be cool to have a 27 inch version of the ViewSonic XG2431.

Here's something to note with single strobe 60Hz and wide gamut KSF panels specifically. Red ghosting becomes too aggressive at such low refresh rates. So beware. KSF-free panel is required to not have these issues.

These are such great news for retrogaming enthusiasts. I hope they release a 27" inch version of the XG2431. Anyway, it's good to have it as an option, the IPS screen should make more of a difference versus losing 3 inches.
