Re: Is this a timer fault?
Hi all, just asking the guys that know substantially more than i do about this. Is this supposed to happen, is it program compatability error with W11, or is this indicative of a timer fault? Cheers in advance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RY7tZ99H1A That program doesn't work on windows 11. I b...

Re: 5800x vs 12700K competitive fps player
Hey, So a friend of mine told me that he went from a 5800x to a 12700k (he plays cs go, while I play valorant) and he told me the difference is night and day, and told me that there was insanely less input lag on his intel cpu, he switched rather recently and had a 5800x. It's not that I do not bel...

Re: Microstutter and frameskipping in all games
Hi all, I have a computer I build not so long ago that is having micro stutters and frame skipping for about a week or two by this point. Everything worked perfectly fine before that. For two weeks now, I have been looking for the source of the issue with no success. Technical details: MB: Gigabyte...

Re: Heavy character movement (not input lag)
If you unplug your power cable completely from the power supply and leave it unplugged for a 'period' of time, it could reset your bios settings. That 'period of time' can differ from mobo to mobo so keep that in mind. To lock in your memory settings, first set fast boot to disabled, then reboot, y...

Re: input lag on newer pcs
For Windows 11 I recommend you download 'timer resolution.'. Some ISLC builds for some reason don't always work on 11. Google for download link, timer resolution. Remember to run as admin. Do u recommend the one by Lucas Hale? If so, are you using the free or paid version? Yes, that's the one I use...

Re: Heavy character movement (not input lag)
I'd suggest trying to change command rate to 1N as shown below in attachment. Just keep in mind that not all ram kits will be stable at 1N. If your KIT can't run 1N at all, your system may not boot and you'll have to hard reset and reconfigure your bios settings, FYI. So for FAST BOOT, basically th...

Re: Heavy character movement (not input lag)
In regards to your memory's RTL/IOLs, they look fine to me. The rule of thumb is that your RTLs shouldn't be more than 2 apart and your IOLs shouldn't be more than 1 apart. In your case, your RTLs are identical from Channel A Dimm 1 (slot 2) to Channel B Dimm 1 (slot 4). This is fine since it's wit...

Re: input lag on newer pcs
FYI, for my Alder Lake build I use Windows 11 since it's basically required because of the thread director. Windows 11 by default will run at exactly .5ms w/ timer resolution. Sometimes it's .503 or .496 on the first click, but it goes to .5ms by the second click w/ timer resolution. Windows 11 tim...
