Re: Looking for clarification on if AOC AG251FG supports 144
Eh.. I can't believe that a manufacturer would market a monitor as 1080p when it is actually 1440p. I suspect there is more to this story, and my guess is that AOC announced the AG251FG as 1440p before release, but on actual release they just went with the stock 1080p 240hz panel that everyone else ...

Looking for clarification on if AOC AG251FG supports 1440p
So when I look for the stats of the AOC AG251FG in stores or even on the AOC official page, the monitor appears to be a 24.5 inch 1920 by 1080 res TN panel at 240hz. However, I found these three review articles that claim the monitor can do 1440p: http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/aoc-launches-agon-a...

Re: My experience with the AOC G2460PG
Sorry, I meant that ULMB "only" works up to 120hz and not 144hz, though I previously thought it would work at any single refresh below 120hz. Now I see that it is set to specific refresh rates like 85hz, 100hz and 120hz after investigating what you guys said. Regarding G-Sync and overdrive, if havin...

Re: Acer XB252Q vs Asus PG258Q (240hz)
Hi, I recently wrote a review on the ASUS PG258Q in this forum: http://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3287 I found there were more negative aspects to the ASUS PG258Q than I would have liked (the review has the details), so my opinion would be to try the Acer if you're set on going for a...

My experience with the AOC G2460PG
Hi, I've been using a BENQ XL2420T since June 2012, and I absolutely love this monitor. I recently bought a ASUS ROG Swift PG258Q as an attempt at an upgrade, but I felt it was inferior to my XL2420T in every way except G-Sync and ULMB. The review for the PG258Q can be found here: http://forums.blur...

Re: Digital to analog video converters not working for GDM-F
Thanks for the info! CRTguy, don't leave us entirely. ;) This site was the first site that made me realize I wasn't alone in being obsessed with smooth motion on monitors. I ain't going anywhere. I've been visiting blurbusters.com for years to collect information, but never ended up making a forum ...

Re: Is G-sync really worth it?
It's going to be a unicorn for a long time, but it's possible to run VRR on a CRT to de-stutter on a CRT too. (ToastyX VGA FreeSync hack) Do you have an AMD graphics card and your old Sony widescreen CRT? If so, give 'er a spin -- and send me a PM too -- I'd love to feature a CRT FreeSync test in a...

Re: Digital to analog video converters not working for GDM-F
Thanks for sharing that thread link. I actually didn't know about this forum or thread, despite owning an FW900.
It looks like people are still trying to come up with a solution. I'll keep following it and contribute to it if I find anything that they haven't already.

Re: My experience with the ASUS ROG Swift PG258Q
Do you think BenQ or Asus are better monitors? I personally wish BenQ would get g-sync but in talking to BenQ support they are saying it will most likely never happen. I haven't seen enough BenQ monitors of multiple models to judge whether or not BenQ has a general consistency to their monitors, an...

Re: My experience with the ASUS ROG Swift PG258Q
If you don't notice that much difference with G-Sync (or not enough to justify the big price tag on the PG258Q), then I'd say you probably want to stick with the BenQ XL2430 if you feel the motion is similar but colors are better on the BenQ. The PG258Q did have great ULMB performance, so if you hav...
