Re: How many frames of lag are there with the following

https://www.reddit.com/r/Competitiveoverwatch/comments/6xet7k/your_mouse_input_is_being_buffered_to_the_next/ See the edits in the original post. CSGO and Quake Live is also tested to suffer from this issue, but uncapped framerate alleviates the issue at extremely high framerates. This is what was o...

Re: How many frames of lag are there with the following

This might be an effect similar to what the Reddit user described as "subframe input polling". Where even at 60fps, 60Hz, a game like Reflex can poll input data at 1000Hz so qualitatively the input in those 60 frames rendered by the GPU and sent to the display are different than when playing Overwat...

Re: How many frames of lag are there with the following

You're saying for the increased granularity, there needs to be quantitative improvement in the frames (more of them). I'm saying there are qualitatively better frames. Take 120 frames rendered in one second by the GPU. Take 240 frames rendered in one second by the GPU. If you use every other frame f...

Re: How many frames of lag are there with the following

Also your tests indicate that Fast-Sync with 118 fps cap and 300 fps cap at 120Hz have identical input latency. They feel different to play is what I'm saying.

Re: How many frames of lag are there with the following

You can see users on Blizzard's forum also reporting that Fast Sync feels better than V-Sync/G-Sync. I don't know how, but Fast-Sync has a different effect on the mouse position input than expected. I know you were referencing mouse movement/sensor response, but what I said still applies; Fast Sync ...

Re: Overwatch -- Lightboost 120Hz + Fast Sync

Step 2 different method: Using CRU Instead of using a fractional RTSS frame rate limit, you can instead continue using the default frame cap, but instead modify your monitor's refresh rate slightly. You can do that using CRU: https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Custom-Resolution-Utility-CRU F...

Re: How many frames of lag are there with the following

Yeah, Fast-Sync (240fps@120Hz) felt more responsive (not in click latency, but in mouse cursor movement) than G-Sync/V-Sync on 118fps@120Hz by a bit and by a lot over V-Sync 118fps@120Hz. My aim was better, my mouse felt like I really was at 240fps, not 120fps (though it's only displaying 120fps, t...

Re: Upgraded to a "flawless sensor" mouse and I love it

Also i play pharah mainly so its not like i aim or anything. LOL! I want to quote this. On low sensitivity, any mouse works well. I can aim almost as well on my friend's Deathadder 3.5G from years ago because I use 24cm/360. I suggest PMW3360/3366/3389 sensor and don't go over 1500 or 1550 dpi (160...

Re: Upgraded to a "flawless sensor" mouse and I love it

The ASUS ROG Gladius sends two reports every 1ms rather than one report every 0.5ms like a true 2000Hz mouse would, so it's basically "fake" 2000Hz support. Don't buy one. I wish these sensor lists were better. There are lots of mice considered to have "flawless" sensors which are not. I had a Rocc...

Re: Best 240hz monitor for FPS

I think 'they' said it has brighter ULMB and ULMB can be uses at any refreshrate. besides that, i'm not sure what else. Yeah that's pretty much it. it's just as bright with DyAc (ULMB) on or off, even at 240Hz. If G-Sync is more important to you (especially if you play a lot of games on high detail...
