Re: BenQ XL2546 (24.5" 240Hz TN) vs Alienware AW2521H (24.5" 360Hz Fast IPS)

I experimented some more. For some reason, 240Hz is just plain blurrier than 144. It may just be in OW. FastSync helps but the advantage is still at the lower refresh rate even with Sync (whose extra lag should be mitigated at higher refresh rates). How much more input lag does FastSync cause compar...

Re: BenQ XL2546 (24.5" 240Hz TN) vs Alienware AW2521H (24.5" 360Hz Fast IPS)

What are the best color settings to use for this monitor? For normal use and FPS gaming? I just use one of the presets, it always appears washed out next to my IPS second screen. Is the 240Hz strobed mode in the Alienware as good as the 240Hz DyAc Premium mode in the XL2546? Would it have less input...

Re: Why am I finding it easier to aim on 144Hz instead of 240Hz? (BenQ XL2546)

I definitely agree about seeing clearly means you can react faster. That's why I often played with FastSync on for example (no FreeSync on this model). It added noticeable lag, but the clarity was great. Also, I noticed a clear improvement in lag by going to AMA Premium from High and on my machine I...

Re: Why am I finding it easier to aim on 144Hz instead of 240Hz? (BenQ XL2546)

Tried it with ToastyX CRU version 1.5.1, I copied these settings: https://blurbusters.com/faq/advanced-strobe-crosstalk-faq/ (1584 vertical total @ 182Hz for XL2546). Made sure to copy all the boxes. Same thing. When I move 'Area' from 10 (the default) and try to push the "band" off the screen, the ...

Re: Why am I finding it easier to aim on 144Hz instead of 240Hz? (BenQ XL2546)

I added the 182Hz resolution via Nvidia. THere was no back porch field, but everything else was the same. Then I switched to it and tried the 'Area' thing under Service Menu and I couldn't get the strobe crosstalk area to completely go off the screen. I tried from 0 to 100. I wound up leaving it at ...

Why is AMA High better than Premium? It felt better on Premium to me. But that was 240Hz.

Where can I find the 182Hz tweak and Strobe Utility?

Re: Why am I finding it easier to aim on 144Hz instead of 240Hz? (BenQ XL2546)

That's interesting. It's just this 240Hz TN panel shared by all these monitors which is like this? More input lag at 240Hz than 144Hz? Is this a well known thing? Has anyone else experienced it as well?

Does the new XL2546K have the same issue?

Re: Why am I finding it easier to aim on 144Hz instead of 240Hz? (BenQ XL2546)

What is the performance hit from having a 2nd or 3rd monitor? What about when cloning the main game screen? Is there a noticeable performance hit from doing that?

Why am I finding it easier to aim on 144Hz instead of 240Hz? (BenQ XL2546)

I accidentally played on 144Hz for a bit and realized I'm aiming better. It definitely looks like there's a lower framerate (subtle choppiness), but the colors seem a bit more crisp/vivid. It feels more... instant. Going back to 240Hz, it felt a little more floaty/laggy, albeit much smoother framera...
