Oh man - and I do have 2 monitors...I'm going to check this out.
For the moment I reduced my refresh rate to 120hz and that seemed to help, although I did not do extensive testing.

G-Sync blackouts
I get quite a lot of G-sync blackouts on my Viewsonic XG320U. They are especially bad when using emulators like RPCS3 and Retroarch. I've tried changing the refresh range from 48-144 to 55-144 and it didn't help. Is there anything else that can be done? Should I have gone for a screen with a proper ...

How to target the CPU in gaming benchmarks
What is the correct way to target the CPU in gaming benchmarks? Set everything to Ultra and run at 720p to eliminate GPU?
I want to do some tests and see whether ECO mode on my 5950x makes any difference to frame-rates, so I thought I'd run a few games with benchmarks.

Re: Multiple frame-rate limiters
The limiter set to the lowest value will take priority, while the limiter with the higher value will remain dormant (unless you remove the limiter with the lower value and the framerate can reach the higher value of the other limiter). If you have a 140 FPS global limit set, and the game has an int...

Multiple frame-rate limiters
Suppose you set a global frame-rate limit in NVCP of 140fps. But then a game has its own limit of 60fps - either a hard limit, or perhaps an option in the Settings menu. What is the resultant behaviour? Of course the frame-rate will be 60fps, but will there by any 'fighting' between the 2 limits - w...

Re: G-Sync + NULL
in a game supports null , better to set it to on or ultra? (with gsync) In a game that supports NULL and Reflex, use Reflex (it does the same things with G-SYNC, but better). In a game that supports NULL but not Reflex use "Ultra" if you don't want to have to set a manual FPS limit, else use "On" w...

Re: G-Sync + NULL
G-sync + V-sync ON + NULL In the above scenario, will the frame-rate always be capped below the refresh rate, even in DX12 / Vulkan games that ignore the MPRF setting? And will they do so only with G-Sync enabled (i.e. only in full-screen mode)? Whether the auto FPS limiter of G-SYNC + NVCP V-SYNC ...

Re: G-Sync 144hz with 60fps cap?
I've had this thing for years, and was considering getting a 4K 144hz G-Sync monitor (maybe the Acer X28 if it ever materialises). I'm just wondering - would there be any issues with having a global NVCP frame cap of 60fps on that monitor, running 144hz? This is a frequently asked question. I just ...

G-Sync 144hz with 60fps cap?
I have an Acer XB271HK that is 4K 60Hz G-sync. I really notice a difference when I globally cap the frame-rate in NVCP to 58fps. I've had this thing for years, and was considering getting a 4K 144hz G-Sync monitor (maybe the Acer X28 if it ever materialises). I'm just wondering - would there be any ...
