Re: I have a LG 34UM64-P 60hz, when I overclock it to 75hz i
Yes, you are frameskipping. If you can see it by eyes then it's very obvious and you should play at 60Hz cause you would not have any benefit from 75Hz while not being able to see all the frames. Talking about you returned monitor. I would have give it more time to test it, maybe you didn't set it u...

Here is a better pursuit camara shot (better balance and sharpness):

And here is the crosstalk test:

Re: I have a LG 34UM64-P 60hz, when I overclock it to 75hz i
Have you tried the skipping frames test while using 75Hz? Try to lower it a something like 72Hz. And I am curious, do you really didn't notice any improvement with a 144Hz strobed backlighing monitor? :o That's very weird considering that you notice the smoothness thanks to the bump in HZ already on...

Re: Looking for a 27" non-TN FHD 144Hz strobed monitor
Yes, kinda the cheap way: I've made a camera holder with a 12mm cardboard and using a rectangular metal pipe clamped on my desk :) And you're right I am very happy by the results. I took the photo a 1/160; I've another all around camera to shot with and maybe it has 1/150 to better match the monitor...

Re: Looking for a 27" non-TN FHD 144Hz strobed monitor
I was able to set up a pursuit camera test and I took one good shot. So here's the Samsung C27FG73 a 144Hz with response time set to fastest : http://zermak.altervista.org/varie/pursuit_test_ok.jpg About the crosstalk test: I've inconsistent results, meaning that most of the times in the center cros...

Re: Looking for a 27" non-TN FHD 144Hz strobed monitor
I've got my i1 Display Pro today and I may apologize to you. My old meter is pratically worn out and it gave me very bad readings. So the brightness in fastest mode with the strobed lighting working is over 200cd/m2, actually 210cd/m2 after calibrating it (I had to turn down green by 15 points) in s...

Re: Looking for a 27" non-TN FHD 144Hz strobed monitor
Is there any way to check if my monitor doesn't do scan-velocity conversion?
About the cheap solution on pursuit cameras, I was looking and thinking about something to realize and thank you for the link, it gaves me few ideas to work on.

Re: Looking for a 27" non-TN FHD 144Hz strobed monitor
Thank you for the tip and yes, I've read every article on the site and I knew about the rail possibility (actually I tried it on bare hands "railing" with my elbows on the desk, got an almost usable pic ahah).
I want to shot with static camera to see if I can reduce the crosstalk using CRU.

Re: Looking for a 27" non-TN FHD 144Hz strobed monitor
I've got the monitor and I am using it right now. I have only setup few things for now (RGB channels and response actually); waiting to get my new colormeter this week (i1 Display Pro; I am using a Spyder 3 now). I am happy about its performance so far: no weird backlight bleed and it seems working ...

Re: Looking for a 27" non-TN FHD 144Hz strobed monitor
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I want a FHD, not looking for more mainly because of actual GPU power and no need for higher resolution considering what I watch on my monitor (plus upscaling is GPU intensive: I use MadVR for better playback and quality). And if I am not wrong 1440p 144Hz(+) with strobed ...
