Re: Using a reshade black frame insertion shader fx?
Very unfortunate news for anyone trying Desktop BFI: it's basically FUBAR on Windows 11. I guess the DWM is just a stuttery mess compared to 10, so the timing of black frames gets interrupted and causes noticeable flickering and flashing. Even when I set the CPU to max performance to stop it from do...

Re: G-Sync + ULMB TOGETHER with ASUS PG279Q!!
I did it a long time ago on my PG279Q and yes it worked flawlessly. If you could get a perfect lock on a specific framerate between 60hz and whatever upper limit was, then you were fine. But variable framerates caused a lot of flickering and even with a fixed fps lock, any stutters would cause a ton...

Re: override high DPI scaling behavior setting
I've never noticed any change from this DPI setting, but disabling FSO is still best practice for competitive gameplay.

Re: Alienware 34 QD-OLED UFO Test
Do those pics represent how it looks to your eyes? I'm hoping it's just poor pic quality because that doesn't look nearly as sharp as I was expecting. Hopefully we can see some more accurate photos with BFI to get a better idea but I do appreciate you trying.

Re: Alienware 34 QD-OLED UFO Test
Can you guys with this monitor please try the software BFI tool a user created here on the forums? Here's a link to the thread when he made it: https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=5625 And here's the github page for his tool: https://github.com/squeaksci/desktopbfi/releases It's as s...

Re: Using a reshade black frame insertion shader fx?
I'm guessing the same doesn't apply to 144hz running 60 fps content? I am getting image retention on my AHVA "IPS" Asus monitor. This program has been a wonderful find for me, I truly appreciate it as it's been such fun to tinker and experiment with and gives me hope for future displays. Right now, ...

Re: Good News Everyone: 60Hz Single Strobe Options
Why would I want to flood my monitor with specific frequencies when I can just have the emulator output the precise framerate the console asks for and let G-Sync take care of the rest? Users should just be given free agency over whether they want their monitor to single strobe down to whatever lowes...

Re: Good News Everyone: 60Hz Single Strobe Options
I'm a firm believer in VRR ULMB. I am running the CRU hack for my PG279Q and enjoying 60hz emulators with single strobe perfectly synced framerate. It's really important that it's VRR based instead of just 60hz v-sync because NES runs at 60.1hz and without that proper syncing of the .1 you end up wi...

Re: Steam friends & Chat window causing micro stutter
Yep happens to me too. I turned off the flashing when a new message is received and that at least helps with playing fullscreen games and I get a message so it no longer causes stuttering. It's pretty damning that playing in supposed exclusive fullscreen mode, a blinking taskbar icon can cause stutt...

PG279Q RMA Woes; A plea for help
Greetings all, I purchased two PG279Q back in October 2017. They came with the g-sync firmware that corrected the old notorious vertical line bug from 2016 (official ASUS post here: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?87380-Firmware-Update-for-ROG-SWIFT-PG279Q). I never once saw this bug on ei...
