Hi, I can spend $200 more after selling the AW3423DW to buy the OLED G9. (Actually the upgrade cost can be nothing since I also have Acer XR341CK ready for sell).
I saw some post on Reddit about gsync issue on the OLED G9. Anyone got this issue?
Also is it worth ditching the gsync module? I know ...

Re: Gsync compatable vs real gsync module
So, is this a real thing? Is the gsync module that much better? Or is there some way i can test it to find out the issues?
Native G-SYNC is currently the gold standard in VRR at the moment, and it handles VRR-range-crossing events much better (e.g. framerate range can briefly exit VRR range with ...

I understand that that pic have JPG compression. But even my $100 tablet or Samsung 768p TV from 2010 didn't see banding with that pic. I mean I didn't really look for it but on my S2716DG it is clearly visible.

Thanks a lot for your detailed answers. Looks like I have to sacrifice ULMB if I want to go IPS.
Did you see color banding on your XG2703 ? What about this pic ?

Can't really decide 1440p 144-165Hz vs 3440x1440 100Hz
My PC currently is i7-8700K @ 5Ghz , GTX 1080 Ti @ 2050Mhz 1V (can push to 2177Mhz 1.162V if I need every last FPS) and Dell S2716DG A04 (got it 1.5 years ago for $500).
Color banding is quiet annoying so I look for new monitor. Here is what I want and what not.
I want IPS or AHVA panel. I know ...

Re: G-Sync and ULMB at the same time is in fact possible!
OK After I try with RTSS limit fps to 118 for 4 days I feel that monitor flicker more frequently despite no stuttering. I always monitor fps and frametime graph on OSD and both are linear !!! So I just try uncap fps and the issue was gone. Also back to my 119.843 no issue also. I don't know the ...

Re: G-Sync and ULMB at the same time is in fact possible!
Thanks. I use 119.XXX since reading this thread not too long ago. Will try 118 now. So the optimal settings is.lexlazootin wrote:2 below the refresh rate.
The 119.xxx makes sense if you DON'T have G-sync since but it has more latency.
G-Sync On
ULMB On
V-Sync On
RTSS limit = 118

Re: G-Sync and ULMB at the same time is in fact possible!
If I use G-Sync + ULMB at 120Hz should I limit my frame to 118 (2 fps below refresh rate ) or 119.XXX (with low lag v-sync method) ?

Re: G-Sync and ULMB at the same time is in fact possible!
Hi I just try ULMB+G-Sync on my S2716DG. Try +1 and +5 VT both are success. But I want to know how to force it to work on fullscreen mode. Currently need to play on borderless or forced via borderless gaming app.
