Re: so with reviews out, is asus vg279QM now the best gaming monitor available?

Tftcentral according to this is using same 80% measurement (gtg 10 to 90%) as rtings. https://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/response_time.htm Hopefully I'm not wrong haha but if I've read it right, tftcentral doesnt measure 0 to 100% - which is the 5.8ms dell rting figures. So the asus is at gtg 3.6...

Xg270 review out

Hello https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/viewsonic/elite-xg270 Review is out for your viewing pleasure! Pixel response times are disappointing and perhaps worst out of its competitors. It has 5 OD modes but surprisingly they appear about same.. 5.5 GtG avg.. not sure if something wrong with test...

Re: so with reviews out, is asus vg279QM now the best gaming monitor available?

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/alienware-aw2720hf Dells 27" alternative. Appears to have lowest avg GtG of 3ms, all within refresh window and minimal overshoot, compared to all other ips 240hz. Duno about colours etc tho -not huge priority for me. I bought one! Happy to take questions- ...

Re: 240hz TN/ips motion clarity

Early access haha. Tftcentral.

Mag251rx seems like it might be pretty good.

Better response time compared to vg279qm but also more overshoot.

Re: 240hz TN/ips motion clarity

Vg279qm looking fantastic. 240hz 80% transitions are within 4.17ms.
96.7% within 4.17 + 1ms.

Highest one is 7.3ms (0 to 50).
Avg is 3.6ms g2g

280hz is bad.. 33.3% within 3.57ms and 77.7% within 3.57 + 1ms.

Re: Driver 441.08: Ultra-Low Latency Now with G-SYNC Support

I currently play with gsync ON + vsync OFF + -3fps/hz cap + NULL OFF.

My understanding is the input lag benefit would not apply to my setup even tho I'm using gsync as the tested results are with vsync ON?

Can anyone clarify?

Re: Monitor has free-sync enabled. How to turn off?

Chris (battlenonsense) made some interesting findings regarding input lag. https://youtu.be/L42nx6ubpfg You can watch it but the take away regarding input lag was this: 1. Nvdia gpu + gsync compatible monitor (freesync screen) + gsync/freesync OFF = extra 10ms of input lag (compared to using a AMD g...

Re: XL2546 vs. LG 27GK750F-B vs. xg248q and a few questions

Those panels are 180hz and were factory overclocked to 240hz. Thats why they have problems. They still deliver less input lag than 144hz of course, mainly due to persistence (4ms) Wow that is strange, if that is true it does make me question why those all those reviewers and manufacturers are adver...
