I currently have be a xl2540 and can’t see anything in apex unless I turn brightness and contrast way up which hurts my eyes a lot after an hour of playing. Is there a monitor where it’s easy to see without cranking the brightness and contrast way up?

So you recommend this over the 240 hz variant? Do people pick 144 hz over 240 hz anymore?

I have the xl2546 and have the same problem BUT i've found some great settings and now it's almost perfect for me (no more eyes strain)

I don't know if you can use those settings with the xl2540 but you can give a try :

Black eq 3
Color Vibrance 15
Low blue light 10
Instant mode on
Brightness ...

Currently, all the 240Hz G-SYNC models seem to be nearly identical in quality -- this is because NVIDIA has done a really good job of calibrating the 240Hz overdrive on these models to have less ghosting. Even eSports players that do not use G-SYNC, will find the reduced ghosting a redeeming ...

I've been using a xl2540 for a month or so, but upgraded to a 1080ti and haven't been super happy with it overall, but I just pulled the trigger on a dell AW2518H so we'll see how much better the Gsync makes it.
