Re: Asus ROG Strix XG248Q ELMB
It's definitely better than the previous 240hz. The coating is better and lighter, everything looks sharper, and overdrive doesn't appear blurry at low FPS like it did with my previous TWO DIFFERENT 240hz models . That's about all the good I can say about it. The bad, it has the worst clouding I've ...

Re: Experience & Opinion: 240hz displays are blurry
The problem is that his problem with the 240hz monitors is him not understanding how they work. Yup, that's exactly it. The guy that recently posted saying he gets eye strain too at low fps doesn't understand how they work either. Along with multiple other reports of exact same findings. Get ...

Re: Improved 240Hz, better viewing angles, better color, 0.5
Nice to see newer revisions of 240hz so fast. It's funny reading the Asus article, considering my thread. This pretty much confirms these panels were premature :D : Reportedly, the panel is optimized for 240 Hz operation unlike the 24.5″ panels. The 24.5″ panels were not originally manufactured with...

Re: Experience & Opinion: 240hz displays are blurry
Waste of time even reading your comments Lex. Go read the last reply by the BlurBusters admin where he says he hopes overdrive can be as good as current gen 144hz monitors in the future. Keep pretending there is no issue. I hope that 240Hz VRR overdrive improves further, so it can blow away even the...

Re: Experience & Opinion: 240hz displays are blurry
I am currently using an XB252Q as main and XL2540 as side monitor. Previously I was on a PG278QR/S2716DG and before that two VG248Qe's. I've tried some IPS/VA monitors in between, but I can't stand them due to the blur. When I play games that can sit around 240fps or more it's magically smooth, but...

Re: Refresh rate / GTG relationship
I find a problem while using Blur Reduction on my XL2540, according to Blurblusters's guidance. I know: Lower refresh=>Longer time per refresh cycle=>More time for GTG before strobing However, I also notice: Lower refresh usually=>slower GTG. If you use the same aggressive overdrive to keep the GTG...

Re: New TestUFO animation simulating variable refresh rates
Can you add an option for the user to specify the frame rate instead of having it rise and fall? Really nice work though.

Re: Opinion: 240hz displays are blurry, pixel inversion
Many photos do show the artifacts users see (e.g. inversion artifacts) but I stress to maximize the accuracy of the photography, users who post photos should ideally specify (1) Whether the photo is a fixed camera or (2) Whether the photo is pursuiting (following motion). Things often look very dif...

Re: Opinion: 240hz displays are blurry, pixel inversion
The photos are fine and far from "useless". It's pretty funny you try to discredit the photos right away . There are literally hundreds of similar photos shared by reputable users on this forum that look indetical without snyc marks to my photos. You also have posts that don't show sync track m...

Re: Opinion: 240hz displays are blurry, pixel inversion
Forgot to upload these, but if anyone's interested in looking, here are the two displays when I did some comparisons on testufo. The setup was done using duplicate display option in Windows, which locked the 240hz at 240hz and the 165hz at 165hz (confirmed via OSD "current resolution" info on both d...
