Re: Alienware AW2518H
Germany. I have had bad experiences with the Dell Hotline in the past, but this was a good one.

Re: Alienware AW2518H
So I have received a reply from Dell this morning. I had sent a video along with my Support Ticket, and the guy on the phone reviewed it. He put me on hold for 2-3 minutes. He talked to a lvl 2 Tech, and that guy advised this issue should be a failure between the Panel and the Converter Board. An ex...

Re: Alienware AW2518H
Really good question. It actually reminds me very, very much of faulty GPU Ram. This often provides a similar checkerboard flashing. But this can't be the reason here. I tried two GPU, both show the same problem. That youtube guy meanwhile responded, but seems nothing that helps. He is telling us it...

Re: Alienware AW2518H
That's good and bad news, kind of. At first, these large checkered areas looked to me like faulty gpu ram. I remember defective cards showing issues like this. But I tested another card and have the same problem with that. It's not only ingame, it is even on my windows desktop. All the time. Argh! I...

Re: Alienware AW2518H
Hey guys. I got this Alienware screen today. Unboxed and plugged it in. But there is a huge problem which I can't seem to solve yet. I Google for it and found a guy on YouTube that has the same issue, but no solution. Is that a hardware fault, or what could cause this issue? Link to the video: https...

Re: Looking for: 27" IPS, 1440p, G-Sync
So... I spent the weekend with my new XG2703-GS. First of all, it seems gambling is not my thing, as the panel instantly showed a yellow tint in the lower right, and a blueish tint on the lower left. It is no problem during gaming, but for anything office, web browsing etc., your clearly see these s...

What would be your recommendations for 27" VA 1440p and 27" TN 1440p/1080p?RealNC wrote:There's also VA. You don't have to go TN.

Re: Looking for: 27" IPS, 1440p, G-Sync
Well, I am used to use IPS Panels for more than 10 years, so I have a hard time to consider a TN Panel. I found an OK'ish deal on the ViewSonic, so I just placed my order with it and see how it performs. I will have an eye for BLB and Glow, and if I don't find it to be worth the price (what I alread...

Re: Looking for: 27" IPS, 1440p, G-Sync
I guess we can agree that these four are in the same range more or less. So price and looks could be my decision maker. I do wonder why there are not more options from different brands. Samsung, LG, Dell, BenQ... interesting why they miss out on this option. I do find 27" to be a very good size when...

Looking for: 27" IPS, 1440p, G-Sync
Dear BlurBusters, For a long time I have been using 3x Dell 2209WA IPS Monitors, 22", overclocked to 75Hz. Now it is time to purchase a new Gaming Monitor, which will be accompanied by one of the Dells in Portrait format. I have a GTX 1080 on the way. Requirements for the new monitor are: 27" IPS 14...
