Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
That's very TECHNICAL! So I guess the story of pixels transmitting from the graphics card to the monitor via the cable is like this https://forums.blurbusters.com/download/file.php?id=288 If you use resolution lower than native without scaling, the black area surounds the active is just the porch?

Re: Improved 240Hz, better viewing angles, better color, 0.5
Great news. Maybe I will finally buy a 24'' 1440P 240HZ TN with GSYNC support as my secondary monitor. IMO, IPS glow is completely disaster. I only accept EIZO/NEC pro-grade IPS with polarizer. TN's viewing angle and color performance is awful. Also, I'm unsatisfied with the G2G of 1st gen 240HZ TN ...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
I have questions about the VBI:
1. Default VBI consists of VBPD, VFPD, VSPW. Which one is to be changed during VRR opertation?
2. When buffer swap occurs, the game will trgger a new refresh cycle. Is it the VBPD who is leading the new cycle?

Re: The Cake Is NOT a Lie -- for a price (4K 144Hz HDR)
I will never pay such premium price for an IPS without glow reduction polarizer. IMO, a polarizer should always be used with high end IPS panel unless the maker does not have this tech.

Re: How can I minimize input lag on fallout 4 ?
On NVidia, you can use Profile Inspector and in the game's profile, choose "1/2" in the vsync setting. Very useful infomation. Allow me to ask more questions ;) 1. If the game can run ~140FPS, or ~200FPS, but you only have a 60HZ monitor. Is it good to cap the FPS to ~120(2x) or ~180(3x) to avoide ...

Re: How can I minimize input lag on fallout 4 ?
Thank you for the post. So can I understand in this way? If the game runs at 100 FPS uncapped,it takes ~10ms to render a frame. Now you give it a 50 FPS cap, it will still take 10ms to render a frame, but will hold back ~10ms before start to work on the next frame? Yes. Thanks a lot. For many games...

Re: How can I minimize input lag on fallout 4 ?
But I still have a question. Wouldn't it cut the frame rate to half of the refresh rate due to the frame time being longer than a refresh cycle(Assuming the system is very powerful) ? Nope. This only happens when the game takes longer than 16.7ms (with 60Hz vsync) to actually render the frame. The ...

Re: How can I minimize input lag on fallout 4 ?
As already mentioned, it prevents the game from rendering frames while the current frame has not finished displaying yet. The monitor needs time (16.7ms in 60Hz mode) to scan out a frame. During that time, the game is actually free to render more frames (vsync does not cap the frame rate - it bottl...

Re: 240hz on 60FPS games
Generally speaking (BlurBusters definition, at least) -- "absolute lag" = lag from pixel being transmitted out of GPU framebuffer, to the corresponding pixel (at X,Y coordinates) emitting light. CRT has (in practical terms) zero absolute lag since there's no buffer or delay between pixel from GPU f...
