Freesync not working very well on my machine

It seems like Freesync is not working very well on my PC, perhaps someone could help me. System: 2080S->LG 34GK950F 144hz (not GSync Compatible but considered to be working well) 2080S->Viewsonic XG270 240hz (Gsync Compatible) If I have Freesync turned off and VSync on then I have no motion problems...

Discounted, not discontinued.

Discounted = price reduction.
Pfft, I need to learn to read. Thought things are in motion. Sorry

Re: ViewSonic XG2431 alternatives for Europe?

To explain the price drop, the VS account manager I've been speaking to told me that the XG270 was going to be discounted until around the end of September. What is the reason of discontinuing? Will ViewSonic have an updated version? @ChiefBlurBuster can you please comment? Do you still recommend X...

Re: ViewSonic XG2431 alternatives for Europe?

Actually, Amazon Europe has XG270 for 360 EUR which is surprising as it's always been 500EUR+ in my country. This is tempting as I prefer 27 inch over 24. Which leads me to ask, how much better is XG2431 than XG270? The shots from screen above seem to show less double images at top and bottom of the...

Re: ViewSonic XG2431 alternatives for Europe?

How much worse would a VG279QM be compared to XG2431? Were there UFO comparison shots posted anywhere?

Re: ViewSonic Now Shipping XG2431 as of NOW!!! [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS]

This vs VG279QM, size difference and 60hz retro use case aside? I've been waiting for this but now that it's delayed indefinitely in Europe I'm looking into alternatives. I'm not a pro, maining ultrawide atm - this would be an upgrade to my old XL2411P to use for fast paced games as my UW is too blu...

Re: Monitor recommendation

Alright, so this is what I'm thinking right now. Since I don't have an option to demo any monitors, I think I should just buy something cheap and flexible to test things out. I would for now go for the cheapest available TN monitor that is 1080p 144hz G-Sync ULMB. I currently have 8700k with 1060 (y...

Re: Monitor recommendation

You cannot see it for yourself with just a 120Hz OLED without BFI -- you need to actually purchase one of the strobe-backlight technologies such as ULMB to eliminate display motion blur. Alright, it seems like ULMB is what I should aim for. Also it will be more realistic to target 120fps with mediu...
