G-sync stutter when switching on and off?

A question I have about g-sync is, If say I had a 144hz g-sync monitor and a video games fps flexes between say 160fps and 100fps wouldn't that mean that g-sync would disable every time the games goes above 144fps and re-enable every time it goes below 144fps thus causing stuttering from switching b...

Re: G sync and mice polling rates

Well I heard it had hiccups at 1000hz see here: https://www.reddit.com/r/steelseries/comments/7tw263/mouse_rival_600_polling_rate/ As for if it can't hit a stable 1000hz polling rate I don't think I heard anywhere that specifically said that the SteelSeries Rival 600 can't do 1000hz. But I have read...

G sync and mice polling rates

I am having trouble find mice with a true 1000hz polling rate so my question is, Is 1000hz polling rate really worth it for 1080p g-sync 144hz? I don't think I will use ULMB so will 500hz really be that much worse then 1000hz for those specs? Is the polling rate as important as say adjustable weight...

Re: G sync vs repeating frames.

Yet another question I have lol,
when does the 3:2 pulldown effect happen?
Does it happen at a driver level?
Does it happen at a software level?
And how can I control the pulldown effect not to happen or happen?
Also you really helped me out a lot of these concepts :D

Re: G sync vs repeating frames.

Is there a comparison between different web browsers and even the apps that are used to stream videos?
Like for example, Chrome playing netflix vs the netflix app on windows 10?

Re: G sync vs repeating frames.

Interesting info, I don't think stutter will be that bad at 24fps at 120hz but the I will still check out the software when it comes out. I could also try to get g sync to work with the netflix and hulu apps for windows 10. Another question, do all web browsers natively play a 24fps at 24fps and doe...

Re: G sync vs repeating frames.

As y'all can probably tell i'm still a noob at all of this so keep that in mind for this next question,
go through VRR-powered-dejittering via refresh-cycle-offsetting

Re: G sync vs repeating frames.

I don't think g sync would work for videos because apps like web browsers disable g sync by default and if enabled in web browsers they freak out and cause problems don't they?

Re: G sync vs repeating frames.

I heard that playing 24fps videos at 120hz or 144hz should play smoothly but, I thought that 24fps videos aren't really 24fps but rather a decimal so how would that divide evenly? Wouldn't that be a stutter every now and then? Also Repeating frames on a sample-and-hold display does nothing -- 30fps@...
