Re: Can’t eliminate Crosstalk - XL2546
Heya k2viper, The screenshot you shared https://ibb.co/kXEWvS does not actually list every supported control code even though it implies it does. At least on the XL2540 0x40, 0x41 and 0x42 are missing from that list and the capabilities string completely but they still work just fine. You might find...

Re: Can’t eliminate Crosstalk - XL2546
Ah, does that LG monitor not expose the current strobe adjustment values anywhere in the OSD? In that case yeah maybe the best you can do is try to set those unknown controls, that sounds like it could be risky though. I'm still not very familiar with VCP codes but what if one of them disables your ...

Re: Can’t eliminate Crosstalk - XL2546
Thanks! There's also commands IncControl X Y - increases the value of control X by Y DecControl X Y - decreases the value of control X by Y I should try it with LG. Current (default) values of 0x4E and 0x4F looks similar to default Area 0000 and Intensity 18, just in in other then Benq's values ran...

SetControl X Y - sets control X to hex value Yk2viper wrote:Sure, I'm just asking if someone know how to set a value to a given VCP via SoftMCCS through its commandline api (SoftOSD API)?

Unobtrusive thanks/rep system for comments/threads?
Many posts on this forum contain a wealth of useful information, I'm constantly coming across new threads and comments which I find useful. I don't want to reply and clutter threads unless I have something valuable to add but an out of the way thanks system could be a great way to provide recognitio...

Re: Can’t eliminate Crosstalk - XL2546
(Hmmmmmm. Thinking. Is there a VCP command for the OD gain? Someone will need to do a little SoftMCCS hacking to find out) If so, I could probably add additional adjustments (e.g. OD gain slider) to Blur Busters Strobe Utility (Version 2.2 or later). The upcoming Version 2.1 has an offline TestUFO ...

Re: BenQ XL2540 vertical pixel inversion: A panel lottery?
I escalated and spoke to a BenQ Australia product manager today and am now feeling much more comfortable about this situation. The product manager advised that the service technician I exchanged emails with was operating from a standard script and apologized that I wasn't satisfied with the communic...

Re: BenQ XL2540 vertical pixel inversion: A panel lottery?
I've received communication from the BenQ Australia service team. I initially sent them the information in the OP along with the these questions: What exactly causes this effect? Is the significantly worse vertical pixel inversion on monitor #1 expected? I.e. do you consider this an acceptable stand...

BenQ XL2540 vertical pixel inversion: A panel lottery?
I recently had the opportunity to purchase a BenQ ZOWIE XL2540 (monitor #1) and compare it to another XL2540 owned by a friend (monitor #2). My monitor (monitor #1) has significantly worse vertical pixel inversion lines. Testing was done using the following link after resetting both monitors to fact...
