Re: 05/22/2020 UPDATE. The IPS 240hz monitor tier list.(I've measured/tried the all) and my honest explanation why.
RLCS, how does motion performance of XB273 compare to previous generation TN G-Sync? I am returning an Omen X 27 because my Omen 27 165Hz native G-Sync display simply has better pixel responsiveness. The Omen X 27 feels closer to previous gen IPS native G-Sync panels in most transitions (except no o...

Re: G-Sync smoother or higher FPS smoother?
You can only get similar tearing/skipping performance under certain conditions and with caveats. Adaptive sync doesn't have any equals in what it can achieve.
Based on rumored performance of the next gen Nvidia cards, RTX should see a significant price reduction. Maybe best to hold out until then.

Re: Closest potential 1440p 240hz monitor release dates?
I've picked up Lenovo y27gq-25 for $740 and it's amazing. Not as fast as BenQ XL2456 with DyAc on, but picture quality is so much better, and I'm actually playing competitively Lenovo y27gq-25 too, probably because it's easier to spot enemies on this monitor. with I do miss virtual crosshairs thoug...

Also remember you still get input lag benefits and reduced tearing from 240Hz, even with lower fps. And if you play battle royale games the enhanced clarity for spotting and engaging enemies at distance is much easier on 1440p @ 27".

Re: Closest potential 1440p 240hz monitor release dates?
I managed to snag one of the clearance Omen X 27s on the HP Canada store before they went out-of-stock. Only thing I'm concerned about is the PWM backlight. Although it flickers at ~7000Hz, if I did my math right, so shouldn't be a problem. Curious to know if the AOC flickers. The Lenovo probably no...

Re: Apex Legends Input Lag/Stutters/FSO Issues
Not sure whether or not the texture budget has been optimized in Apex, but anything other than "None" would cause me stutters. I've left it at "None" ever since the first few builds and haven't tested since. I remember doing FSO adjustments in the past, but IIRC those settings are usually best left ...

Re: Apex Legends Optimal Settings for 240hz G-Sync Monitors
Can't remember where I read it, but apparently the engine is designed to run optimally <144fps. I run @165Hz for the reduced input latency benefits, but I allow the engine to natively cap my FPS @ 144 without any command line arguments.

Re: Fortnite Settings - ASUS ROG SWIFT PG258Q 240Hz
Your CPU is holding you back. Fortnite is CPU bound with long draw distances, high player count and dynamic building fights. You need high frequency and high IPC on a few cores rather than many slower cores. In other words, an Intel quad+ core. Also, high speed ram can help in CPU bound games, but u...

Re: G sync and mice polling rates
1000Hz polling rate is a noticeable improvement over 500Hz at 144Hz G-Sync.

Re: G-Sync 101 w/Chart (WIP)
In your testing has there been any engine-specific input lag due to running within the G-Sync polling range? I know the subject has been touched upon in the past, but I also think I remember reading Nvidia was going to address that phenomenon.
