Re: [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS] ViewSonic unveils monitors for 2021 (The new 240Hz 24" king?)
Will this monitor have variable overdrive for VRR? A large performance factor that separates monitors with a native gsync module vs ones that are just gsync compatible is that the gsync module adjusts pixel overdrive on the fly to be appropriate for whatever framerate it's matching to - whereas "com...

Re: [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS] ViewSonic unveils monitors for 2021 (The new 240Hz 24" king?)
If this has faster GTG response times than the XG270 (to a degree that it can be naked-eye observed) AND 60hz strobing, it's looking to be a pretty exciting piece of technology. Only way this feature set could get any better is if it becomes available in a 27"/1440p variation - but that would also b...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]
Looks like the XG2431 has more or less confirmed no 60hz support or further firmware feature updates are coming. No reason to give it to you now if they can ask you to buy a $300-500 monitor to get it. I do really want 60hz PureXP+, so I'll be keeping a close eye out on reviews and such for the new ...

Re: Good News Everyone: 60Hz Single Strobe Options
I wouldn't even go so far as to say it's only useful for legacy content, so long as console games continue to target or lock to 60fps, we are going to have games that perform best or only behave correctly if they are played at 60hz. 60hz strobing is an essential feature and I hope it is rolled into ...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]
There was tuning targeted towards standard refresh rates, with the strobe tuning rounding-down to nearest tuned Hz, as no tuned refresh rates were done between 100Hz and 120Hz. 119Hz probably activates the same strobe-tuning as the tuning done for 100Hz. So any Hz between 100Hz-119Hz activates the ...

Re: Dear ViewSonic: Please Add 60 Hz Single-Strobe for PureXP on XG270
Any news on it or is it dead ? It’s not dead. Just may need to wait until a future model of ViewSonic monitor, they are currently aware of this thread. Makes me wonder if hexedits or other relatively simple patches to the firmware could achieve 60hz single strobe - if viewsonic won't give it to us ...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]
I ended up having to do a reset on my display configuration to fix an issue in Windows. This ended up removing my custom monitor settings that adjusted the freesync range to be 55-240hz. Within an hour, this reminded me that if you leave it at the default of 48-240hz, you get black screens if the re...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]
While we're on the subject of bugs, I'd like to check in on something: With the default resolution settings (No CRU tweaks), the monitor set to 240hz with Adaptive Sync enabled, I get screen blackouts if the refresh rate dips to below certain thresholds. This is most noticeable if the game I am pla...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]
I'm also having the weird color issues when using fastest overdrive and not using native colors. And it would be really nice to get a solution for this since i like the fast picture but dislike the exaggerated amount of red color coming from choosing "native". To be really honest, I've send him pic...

Re: >>> VOTE!!!! Ideas To Help Blur Busters!
I would donate to a blur busters patreon. A token forum feature upgrade would be a nice gesture, but I wouldn't consider it necessary. It's tough to balance serving everyone (keeping content accessible and not behind a paywall) and providing incentive for people to donate other than a desire to supp...
