Re: Viewsonic XG272-2K OLED - BlurBusters Verified? BFI?
Not too optimistic about this one. No mention of it on the USA page, no reviews, and no posts from the chief. If this had any major advantages over other oled displays that have implemented bfi on the scaler level, we'd be seeing it in the marketing.

Re: OLED equivalent to Viewsonic XG2431?
Necessary qualifier to this post: not referring to VR headsets, only talking about monitor and TV sized displays. The best BFI OLEDs I've seen to date (which includes some LG Tvs no longer available for sale) had 4.2~ms MPRT, or equivalent to 240hz motion clarity available at 60hz and 120hz. Current...

Re: Viewsonic XG272-2K OLED - BlurBusters Verified? BFI?
Tft central posted an article for this and shared portions of the manual, suggesting the bfi can be used between 48 and 120hz. The dip to 48hz - and absence of the higher grade green badge - suggest to me that between 48hz and xhz, the monitor will double strobe. Could be wrong though, maybe it didn...

"AI" makes shit up. Even in times when models like chatgpt are directly plagiarizing a source, it can construct paragraphs of direct quotes that alter or remove context and make it seem like something else entirely.

Re: Less Motion Blur in 60fps 144hz than 60fps 60hz
If I recall correctly, any monitor with pixel overdrive function (so... Basically all of them), the firmware is going to be evaluating the current pixel state and calculate how to accelerate to the intended pixel state on every refresh. This means if you have content locked at 60fps on a refresh rat...

Re: External BFI Injection -- I am working with Retrotink 4K!
I wonder what this box would look like connected to any of the pc oled monitors out there. A quick glance at rtings reviews on the current lot suggests that the full rise out of black time takes one refresh cycle, with no special pixel overdrive or compensation available to accelerate this (ie, risi...

Sounds awesome.
Would be really funny if this ends up purchasable before the dough spectrum. They haven't even shipped that monitor yet and they have just announced a new model.

Re: Looking to buy an OLED TV or Monitor with 120hz BFI
LG C1 and prior models (C9, CX) can all do bfi @ 120hz, but they're TV sized. Also the c1 is the newest of the lot and it's 2 model years behind and probably not available at retail / new anymore. Mprt range is 4-5ms, but it's perfectly clean with zero crosstalk. The dough brand 27" 240hz oled monit...

Re: ULMB 2 Released
Tftcentral uploaded a video showcasing its performance. It's about as I'd expected - probably best in class max hz backlight strobing, but no 60hz support and no qft support - so as you dip into the lower end of the supported range, a 2.0 blur busters certified monitor will offer superior clarity wi...

Re: LG 27" 1440p 240hz OLED Ultragear 27GR95QE
Heat accelerates the degradation of the oled subpixels, and higher brightness generates more heat. I'm not sure anyone has done enough testing to math it out, because ambient room temperature over time while the screen is in use can absolutely play a role. Just remember perceived brightness is not o...
