Re: FreeSync + audio bitstreaming?

I would like to use FreeSync while also bitstream audio to my receiver. Using two different slots on your VGA for the display and receiver doesn't work because you need to go into multi monitor mode to transmit the sound. Freesync doesn't work in multi monitor mode Uhm, sorry i don't really follow....

FreeSync + audio bitstreaming?

I would like to use FreeSync while also bitstream audio to my receiver. Has anyone found a solution other then the ASUS Xonar HDAV (the pci-e version is unavailable/stupidly expensive)? Before you post, things that don't work: I know of no receiver with VRR compliant passthrough Using two different ...

Re: Samsung Q series TVs

Funny, but you know exactly what I mean. This is the first proper size TV with VRR. Well, not that funny, because even if it's the first proper size TV with VRR, it's useless for g-sync users. It doesn't matter how good it is if VRR doesn't work. Yeah, but that‘s an nV BS problem, not a VRR problem...

Re: Receiver Input Lag

Thank you for your help! My TV seems to be decent in terms of frame times. The difference between v-sync on and off is quite noticeable. During testing a new problem popped up. I cannot sync to the Blur Busters tests reliably. Chrome/FF both produce the problem and I do have it with the frame skippi...

Re: Receiver Input Lag

While not perfectly accurate, I figured I can test the input lag of my receiver: I simply connected a second monitor to my system and took photos running a stopwatch. While the accuracy is limited by frametime and the online stopwatch I used, it showed a 31 ms difference three times, and a 62 ms dif...

Re: Receiver Input Lag

If the receiver doesn't add anything to the video signal, it probably just splits off the data lines for decoding, and passes everything through, instead of re-encoding it. If there's any buffering at all, I suspect it would be limited to single packets. If it does add something to the video signal...

Re: Receiver Input Lag

Oh, I didn‘t know that. Sorry for posting misinformation.

It does crash in cloned monitor mode. On my system.

Do you know how those frame syncing questions work if I run the signal through the receiver?

Re: Receiver Input Lag

(double buffer v-sync) bugs out and crashes or my GPU doesn't want to put my vram into idle so it also draws significantly more power. That's interesting, so when using your Receiver you can't use V-Sync because it causes GPU crashes? V-Sync works, Enhanced Sync doesn't. Enhanced Sync is AMD's name...

Receiver Input Lag

Dear BlurBusters Community, first, I will bore you with some background information :) Setting up my receiver with HDMI audio via my GPU has been a giant pain. As many here can probably understand, I really do not want any input lag from running my video via my receiver. So I have been trying to run...
