Re: Good 144hz monitors within $250 price range?

Same static scanlines on bottom left corner of screen while running 120/144hz like the BenQ but the the moving scanlines are gone and are only slightly noticeable in lightboost mode, colors look better on this than the BenQ, more apparent trailing/blur and the ugly PWM of course. Definitely has poor...

Re: Good 144hz monitors within $250 price range?

Great. For the Acer GN246HL, the sub-$200 strobed 144Hz monitor... 1. Apply the LightBoost HOWTO , using ToastyX Strobelight method. Just ignore the error messages in ToastyX strobelight-setup. Then reboot and run strobelight.exe 2. You will probably get a purple tint in LightBoost mode. To reduce ...

Re: Good 144hz monitors within $250 price range?

There's always the Acer GN246HL monitor - under $200 and has LightBoost (the early version of good strobe backlights). The ghosting on that model is not very good (in non-LightBoost mode) -- until you enable LightBoost and then also apply the LightBoost purple-tint fix from the old 2013 Blur Buster...

Re: Good 144hz monitors within $250 price range?

So i am in the same spot. Looking for a cheap non TN 144Hz gaming monitor. I think the best choice right now is Samsung C24FG70. It's curved that's why i am hesitating to buy it and maby there is something better in the price range. Ok so i just checked some photos of this curvature and it's really...

Re: BenQ XL2411P scrolling horizontal lines

Instant mode is the essentially bufferless mode (cable scanout in full sync to panel scanout). This can reduce opportunity for processing for improved image quality. This may be LCD inversion pattern changes that occur, see http://www.testufo.com/inversion Useful context thread: https://forums.blur...

Re: Good 144hz monitors within $250 price range?

Another choice was the Asus, but it's a little overpriced atm. The problem with the Acer besides its built quality is the lack of crosstalk customization. Some background info about good old fashioned LightBoost, the first popular strobe backlight: Just FYI -- ULMB and LightBoost are generally low ...

Re: Good 144hz monitors within $250 price range?

The ViewSonic VX2758 is a VA panel and probably has much better colors. ViewSonic is known for their good pre-calibrated out-of-box colors. If you are forgoing blur reduction, that is likely a good option if your price range is very strict. Keep in mind if motion blur reduction is a high priority, ...

You're looking for something that doesn't exist. :D
Okay, in that price range which one utilizes it the best if I don't have much of a choice? I have a limited budget and space on my sorry excuse for a "desk".

Good 144hz monitors within $250 price range?

Trying to avoid ones that use the M240HW01 V8 panel, but I also want decent colors and motion blur reduction flexibility.
