Re: Best IPS for competetive gaming ?
my alienware is my workhorse monitor and my current main. My mag251rx is my luxury monitor.(i use it sparingly because i won the panel lottery by returning it over and over and over until hit the jackpot. Just curious, why did you chose the aw2521hfl over the acer xb253q gx if you say it's the best...

Re: Best IPS for competetive gaming ?
Competitively (as in you want to win as much as possible). Also, this presumes there are 2 players, both are the best in the world with equal/similar skillset; however, one using the predator xb253q gx monitor and the other using a different monitor. In the long run, the predator xb253qgx will win ...

Re: ULMB vs CRT
You will be thoroughly disappointed with the CRT. Today's modern gaming LCDs outperform CRTs in almost every way. I had a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2070SB sitting in the closet which can do 1024x768@160hz, one day I hooked it up to compare and I immediately put it away again (now it's gone I gave it aw...

Re: 24gl600f
I sent rtings an email asking about this, they said they did not have it on the correct setting so they retested the monitor and updated their number.Rowdy wrote:Default was at Full Wide, so I had to change it. I can't really tell if it's much better.

Re: 24gl600f
Was it already defaulted to original or did you have to change it to original?Rowdy wrote:It is indeed very odd. What do you mean with "original mode"? Where do I find this setting in the OSD?
EDIT: I found it, it's located in 'Input' and 'Aspect Ratio'

Re: 24gl600f
I wonder if they weren't using the correct setting for monitor resolution as this monitor may have the same issue as LG 27GK750F-B where it must be set to "original mode" in the OSD for best input lag? It's odd that the non-native resolutions have lower input lag than native in their test, right?

Re: Acer XF252Q - this is my endgame
Can anyone do pursuit pictures to compare to hp omen x 25f? Strobed and non-strobed 240hz? 144hz strobed? TFT's strobed images looked pretty bad.

Re: LG 27GK750F-B - 240Hz, 27" 1ms Blur reduction, Freesync
I have to say I ended up returning this monitor because it had a very noticeable frame-skipping bug. I tried the custom res fix but it would still randomly get the bug when I would restart the pc. I now have the Alienware 25" 240hz which is just as good if not better (I don't use ULMB) and without t...
