Re: Acer XF252Q - this is my endgame

How's the motion clarity on the monitor? Does it seem blurry? How's the overdrive? When you pan extremely fast at 240hz does it remain fairly stable? On my Dell AW2518HF it's pretty blurry during fast motion (like turning really quick even at 240 fps).

Re: Apex Legends Input Lag/Stutters/FSO Issues

It feels like the game rejects my input sometimes but after fiddling with Win 10 it seems good now (it's pretty bad on my Win 8.1 build though). I'd recommending ensuring you're on the latest Windows 10 1903 build (released on 26th July, it fixes some dpc latency issues on Win 10), that game mode is...

Will a better cable solve anything? Dell AW2518HF

Hi, On the stock timings/CRU setup every now and then my AW2518HF will show a black screen having lost input for a second (FreeSync disabled). I can increase the 'Voltage Swing' to 2 in the AMD control panel and it will solve the issue. This behaviour occurs with 2 of my DisplayPort 1.2 cables 1.8m ...

Does this mean everything is being rendered in 120 fps if v-sync is turned off?

Re: Windows 10 1903 forcing 120hz on resolutions below 1920x

If you disable all FPS caps, force vsync ON and run a game that can easily reach FPS = Hz, you should see 240FPS (due to vsync.) If that's the case, then this does look like the testufo test fails for whatever reason. Enabling v-sync no fps cap shows 120 fps, rather than 240. This is with scaling a...

It occurs in both chrome and firefox and it's applicable to the desktop too

Windows 10 1903 forcing 120hz on resolutions below 1920x1080

I'm not sure why but with my AMD Vega any resolution below 1080p is showing 120hz in the TestUFO refresh rate checker despite the 240hz mode being correctly selected, 1080p is correctly showing 240hz. This doesn't occur with my windows 8.1 install. I don't want to add the resolution manually using C...

Re: Dell AW2518HF - Service menu tutorial

The input lag on this monitor is pretty slow to most 240hz frame pacing just feels weird , I thought money just went down the drain. I did lagom test with a s10 phone camera. And my xl2430t runs faster by like 5ms or so. But I found I've successfully changed my pixel clock of my 60hz to a little ab...

Dell AW2518HF - Service menu tutorial

As to opening the service menu I must first give a disclaimer that it may mess up your FreeSync a little bit. I'm not sure why, and I'm not quite sure if this is normal or indeed whether or not it was opening the service menu that caused it (might be AMD driver related), but I don't recall the frame...
