ASUS probably didn't want to pay for the special glossy coating that LG uses on their TVs so they slapped on something cheap, but against white backgrounds it is grainy and hazy with that special nasty matte sparkle almost like if they slapped on a glossy coating over a matte.

nvidia explicitly said that every new PG27 from asus would support pulsar.
the only new PG27 announced is the 480 oled.
