Re: Vsync vs fastsync: question about frame-drops.

Try the nvidia limiter instead. RTSS will prevent the CPU from running ahead of the GPU by keeping all pre-render buffers empty. This has low input lag, but in this case it interferes with your goal. The nvidia limiter might be more suitable here, since you don't care about input lag when running a...

Re: Download -> NEW FPS Limiter for Vulkan, OpenGL, DirectX

So basically there isn´t a single frame rate limter that doesn´t add input lag? That´s a shame.. None of the frame limiters add any input lag. In fact, they reduce input lag. The only exception is the NVidia limiter, which doesn't have a latency benefit. You seem to be confusing the fact that the e...

Re: What is the smoothest combo for frame-pacing?

Forgetting input lag completely, and trying to framepace perfectly to refresh rate: 1. Lower refresh rate until refresh rate is matches or below your 0.1% frametime. As high as possible, but avoiding framerates below Hz 99.9%+ of time. 2. If step 1 results in a low refresh rate (like 60Hz) or not p...

Vsync vs fastsync: question about frame-drops.

What if I'm capping the frame rate to 45fps, because for whatever reasons this is the FPS I want? - 80hz Monitor (it's a 75hz monitor OC'd to 80hz) - 1980p resolution - FAST SYNC Enabled - RTSS frame-rate cap set to '45fps' (40fps has too much ghosting when panning the camera, and the game(s) I'm pl...

What is the smoothest combo for frame-pacing?

Let's put aside lag for the moment and instead I want to know what is the SMOOTHEST most "synced" possible frame pacing combo of settings? Traditional v-sync ENABLED + (if so desired) a frame-rate cap of choice? or Fast-sync ENABLED + Scanline-sync? For the moment I'm not worried about lag, I want t...

Re: 30fps method: half-refresh nvidia option + refresh rate

thank you for the reply. i tried it out and indeed lowering refresh rate / 2 result by -0.01 each time did indeed reduce the smooth->smooth->stutter!->smooth again cycle. it's incredible how predictable and obvious the smooth-stutter cycle is! Once you notice it there is no going back, ever, you wil...

30fps method: half-refresh nvidia option + refresh rate / 2?

Is that the "best" method right now? Should i substract 0.01 after dividing the refresh rate by 2? (using refresh rate number from UFO site). the website tells me my refresh rate is 80.002, so i divided by 2 then substracted 0.01 and using that number inside RTSS frame cap option field. in nvidia co...
