Re: Is G-Sync still worth it or should I go FreeSync?
I think, real G-Sync monitors will soon be dead as no one wants to lock into an NVIDIA ecosystem and if nvidia cards work just fine with freesync why would monitor manufacturers purchase the $200 module from nvidia and lower their profit margins

Re: Is the death of real midrange GSync monitors?
I don't think g-sync is going away. I'm worried about the prices though. They might get even more expensive if less people buy them. And it's not like there's competition here that would drive prices down. Freesync and g-sync monitors are sold by the same manufacturer, so there's no competition ...

I am talking about midrange price wise.phatty wrote:What's midrange?
Are we talking about price?
Or anything less than 32 inches and not ultrawide?
I mean the low end of GSync Pricewise is 300-500 dollars. Midrange 500-800. And then above?

Is the death of real midrange GSync monitors?
Now that nvidia cards support FreeSync, does this mean manufacturers will stop producing newer products with midrange gsync panels like Acer xb271hu/Dell S2417DG/S2716DG or will similar new monitors continue to be produced? This would be a downer as gsync modules had some advantages over FreeSync.

Re: Please help. Is this grid like pattern normal for Dell S
Thanks. I am starting to get used to it. Don't want to deal with the hassle of getting an exchange unit and getting a worse deal like a dead pixel or so.

Please help. Is this grid like pattern normal for Dell S2716
I just bought a Dell S2716DG and while I am happy with it for the most part, while gaming and the character is in motion there is a fine grid like pattern which appears on the screen. It disappears as soon as the character stands still. I have tried making a video of this but can't capture it ...
