Re: Polling Rate among Gaming Mice Analysis: 1000hz Is Not Enough

But we won't be able to see or feel that additional smoothness because our monitors aren't updating as fast as our mice is?

To truly take advantage of a 4k Hz mouse we probably would have to wait until we get pcs that can consistently output 4000 fps on a 4000 Hz monitor

Re: RTSS/NvidiaCP Limiter + In-game FPS limiter input lag & frame time question

Well, I'm pretty sure that the lower fps cap will override the higher one. I'm myself am kinda interested in finding what happens with setting both caps the same. Ingame fps cap at 138 and rtss fps cap at 138. Will I get the best of both worlds? The least input lag together with perfectly stable fra...

Re: Polling Rate among Gaming Mice Analysis: 1000hz Is Not Enough

Would like some clarification. Why would all these high refresh rate mice matter when our monitors can't even display them? For instance, if my monitor can only display 240 Hz, and my mouse is performing at 1000 Hz, it already means that 3 out of 4 mouse updates are being skipped by the monitor. Wha...

Re: ULMB vs CRT

Thanks for your reply Chief, I just received my HDMI - VGA adapter today. Will try to get a good CRT soon if I can find it. Been trying VRB for a few days, but getting a lot of eye strain. Because VRB only works at a locked brightness and it's too bright for me. Going back to gsync-vsync for the tim...

Re: ULMB vs CRT

I see.

The main reason I am planning to purchase a CRT is for better motion blur. Is there any way to check the quality of the phosphor before I purchase? Will just turning it on and looking at the color be sufficient?

Edit: Nvm, found several articles on checking for geometry, color, contrast, etc.

Re: ULMB vs CRT

Thanks. I may go ahead and get that monitor then. Because in my region, it is pretty had to find any crt better specced than 1024 x 768 x 75Hz. And I've been searching for months too... It would be great if there is some high speed camera footage of 144hz ulmb vs 60hz / 75 hz / 85 hz / 100hz / 120 h...

ULMB vs CRT

Hi all, I"m currently using a 144Hz Acer lcd monitor with Visual Response Boost (Acer's version of ULMB). At the moment, there is someone selling a CRT that can do 1280 x 1024 x 75Hz. Will the CRT give me less motion blur than my current LCD monitor during fast flicks in FPS games such as Rainbow Si...

Dear OP,

Please let me know how the large vertical total trick works for you. I was considering buying the same monitor.

Thanks!

Re: Recommendations for a MBR 144hz 24" Full HD TN monitor?

Hi Chief, Yes I did consider 240hz panels. But there are a few factors holding me back. 1. The best panel which the others are currently talking about, the Asus Xg248q still isn't available where I live yet. 2. Mainly buying this for rainbow six siege, where its notoriously difficult to achieve 240f...

Recommendations for a MBR 144hz 24" Full HD TN monitor?

Hi all, I need some recommendations for a backlight strobing 144hz 24" 1920 x 1080 TN monitor for gaming purposes. All I've found so far is: a) LG 24GM79B - unavailable in my country b) LG 24GM77 - unavailable in my country c) BenQ ZOWIE XL2411P - not very good reviews d) ASUS VG248QE - not very god...
