Compiled for a specific architecture, whatever chip the monitor firmware uses. So you need to figure out what chip architecture it is before you can remotely begin to disassemble it. Firstly, welcome to Blur Busters Forums! Modifying the monitor firmware is extremely difficult and often costs more time than the purchase of a new monitor. It sometimes requires jailbreaking the monitor firmware, and there's a very small market for that (unlike phones) since discovering the cracks...
