Re: How ULMB looks for desktop use?

Hey, guys! I heard that when ULMB is on, the image gets darker. And I would like to know how much it would be. Cacs The brightness reduction depends on the display. If you check tftcentral, they list the brightness levels at different settings with strobing on and off. Many monitors lose a ton of b...

How ULMB looks for desktop use?

Hey, guys! I am wondering if anyone can post pictures of how ULMB looks like for desktop use? I mean, a desktop comparison with and without ULMB. I heard that when ULMB is on, the image gets darker. And I would like to know how much it would be. I plan to buy a Dell Alienware AW2518H. I know differe...

Re: Input Lag between Zowie and Alienware?

RTings allows to vote for a monitor to be reviewed. If users in Blur Busters can get to agreements, we can all vote to get a review of a monitor. With a small contribution we can vote for 5 monitors. Even if i don't intend to buy a specific monitor i would of course like to see how other models are...

Re: [Help] New monitor for less blur in real-time stock trad

I wish there was some Ag251FG type of monitor in 27". But there isn't one in my country... Entirely understandable; what's available is what's available. Regardless of whether TN would have an edge, the Acer should be notably superior to whatever you've been using. I have a Phillips 288p TN 60hz 4K...

Re: [Help] New monitor for less blur in real-time stock trad

I asked Jorimnt how the Acer 271hu worked for him. He said many good things about the monitor, that I felt comftable buying it. And in my PM, I actually suggested a TN for ULMB, after showing you this comparison between a pursuit capture of my XB and the other model you were considering: https://i....

Re: [Help] New monitor for less blur in real-time stock trad

I forgot about this. I never had a monitor with ULMB, so I don't know what to expect. I bought the Acer XB271HU. I hope the ULMB works fine! ULMB works at 85Hz, 100Hz and 120Hz on that monitor. Note that it's an IPS panel, so there's going to be some crosstalk in ULMB mode (crosstalk is a faint aft...

Re: [Help] New monitor for less blur in real-time stock trad

Yes, ULMB can be turned on/off. Don't forget that ULMB makes the monitor darker, so if you hate that, you'll have to instead rely on the sheer Hertz instead to eliminate motion blur (240Hz = 1/4 text scrolling motion blur as 60Hz) The strobe backlights on the 240Hz are usually brighter than the str...
