Re: I have the best 144Hz monitor ever, should I buy 240Hz?
As the guy above said, the XF252Q looks good as far as pixel transition times go so it'll have way less blur than other 240hz panels. And it doesnt cost an arm as the top older 240hz ones.

Re: Are 240Hz monitors worth getting now?
If u want reduced motion blur then in some cases it wont be an upgrade but that aoc panel isnt the best.If u want an upgrade your options are top end 240hz monitors like asus pg258q for around 500. The best 240hz panel seems to be XF252Q as its a newer model with good pixel transition times. Actuall...

Aha. I'm not even sure if the cable is 2.0 but it works. Must be supporting 4k 60Hz then. Thanks.

Re: AW2518HF + Super fast responses time
So i did some digging and i think ive found the reason why. It turns out that in cases where you have to quick pan, FPS shooters... 240hz monitors if pixel transition time goes over 4.16ms, it causes blur. The 144hz asus vg248? you used before had lower pixel transition time needed for 144hz at 6.94...

If u dont play competitive consider VA for incredible contrast.

Re: Alienware AW2518HF Freesync blue-tinted ghosting at 240h
Idk my panel looks flawless. I knew there was going to be blur issues cause pixels cant possibly refresh fast enough on fast swipes. I went for this monitor to get low input lag and pixel response time. I dont play competitive fps games so thats completely non issue to me.

240hz on hdmi 2.0
Do i need dp 1.2 or hdmi 2.0 is fine? Surprisingly it works im getting 240hz, assumed the cable has to support the standard or is the classification tied to the gpu and monitor side, while the cable is the same piece of wire regardless?

Re: LG 27GK750F-B - 240Hz, 27" 1ms Blur reduction, Freesync
* I have a 960gtx, so freesync will not work Could it be an issue of older maxwell cards or is it the monitor? Cause i have gtx 970 g1 myself. dp 1.2 can push 1080p 240hz but not adaptive sync, which is dp 1.2a and onwards. I dont mind as ill be making sure fps stays at or close to 240fps anyway. F...

Re: LG 27GK750F-B - 240Hz, 27" 1ms Blur reduction, Freesync
Damn this was a long thread. So which is it. LG or Alienware? I'll be exclusively playing dota 2 so full screen quick pans are a rarity and i already tested that i can keep 220~ fps (obviously it's going to fall during heavy action so ill oc the cpu and gpu to compensate somewhat, theyre both underc...
