Thanks for the feedback, Stitch7.

Already had an LG 24GL600F and wasn't blown away.

I think I'll give the 24G2U a whirl.

Re: Best monitor for competitive edge in GAMING? (small list inside)

What's wrong with the HP Omenf? Seems to have the lowest input lag of 2.6ms https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tests/inputs/input-lag And a fast 5.3ms motion blur https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tests/motion/motion-blur-and-response-time Nothing wrong with the Omen X25f. Best 240hz monitor I've had, and...

The value King of 1080p 144hz monitors in 2020?

All the media attention is understandably on the new 1440p/240hz and 1080p/240hz releases this year. That's all fine and good, but for my money, 1080p/144hz is still the sweet spot for most people, most of the time, all things considered. Usually I would just buy the venerable gold standard ViewSoni...

Re: Asus XG258 Questionable Overdrive

I too found it odd how the overdrive can look pretty damn good in UFO Test but then awful in Apex Legends.

Re: 24gl600f

Did you use contrast at less than 68? That made the overdrive on my unit superior to xg2402. It completly eliminated any artifact! Thanks for the tip, Notty! I hadn't tried that. I had to reduce contrast on my sample to 55-60 to eliminate the powdery ghosting in UFO Motion Test. Now the OD compares...

Re: Asus XG258 Questionable Overdrive

I've been comparing my stable of monitors (ViewSonic XG2402 & XG240R, LG 24GL600F, Asus PG278Q) to the XG258Q over the last week across UFO Motion Test, gaming (Apex Legends) and Aim Lab. It is ridiculous how much better my performance metrics are in Aim Lab with the XG258Q. I'm consistently posting...

Re: Viewsonic xg240r white washed

I think some of this 'washed out' effect you describe may come from the surprisingly huge amount of panel variation of this old 24" AUO unit from 2011. I've had two XG2402s and now a XG240R and I can tell you all three of them exhibit big differences comparing side by side. One of the XG2402's had p...

Re: Asus XG258 Questionable Overdrive

Chief knows how things works, we just see how things look. My monitor looks better than when I first tried it. I don't know what made the difference, maybe driver version, but this is what I did: 1. Unppluged network cable. 2. Installed a clean Windows 10 1709 VL Fall Creators. (You can now downloa...

Re: Is the XG2402 the best 144Hz monitor for games?

I have a 24GL600F. I can read the street names on your link at 600-720 pixels/sec. 144hz.
