Re: Special K can drastically reduce latency
special k is tanking my fps like crazy in many games, for exemple in Ori and the will of the wisp my fps dips to 120 and stays here, without special k its a smooth 240fps at all time Make sure you are using one of the new releases on the discord as there was a bug for a while that caused a larger t...

Re: Special K can drastically reduce latency
A lot has changed the last few months.
The discord versions now support enabling Nvidia Reflex in most games.
There are also now exact frametime statistics built in to the advanced framelimiter section to help you fine tune the settings.

Re: Special K can drastically reduce latency
Nvidia is sending Kaldaien an LDAT. Nice, I look forward to his results (if shared). I have not been offered the same. In fact, anyone familiar with my background at Blur Busters here might be surprised to hear Nvidia has never made direct contact with me on anything 🤪. Beyond indirectly acknowledg...

Re: Native (plug-and-play) 8000hz mouse
Open CPU-Z, select the window and shake it really fast at 1000hz compared to 500hz or 100hz. Now imagine how it will react to 8000hz
Depending on how long I shake it, it can still be moving for 3+ seconds after I let go.

Re: Special K can drastically reduce latency
Using the system to measure itself has its limits. This is why many professionals/enthusiasts use tools such as FCAT for frametime performance measurements, and photodiode or high-speed setups for input lag measurements. Until Special K's framerate limiter is tested in such a fashion, we aren't goi...

Re: Special K can drastically reduce latency
The frametime graph with RTSS is perfectly flat. So how can SK have 10x lower deviation if it's already 0 with RTSS? https://www.reddit.com/r/allbenchmarks/comments/gohkn9/specialks_frame_rate_limiter_review_dx11_based/ It is not 10x let me correct myself The adaptive standard deviation in the CapF...

Re: Special K can drastically reduce latency
Special K seems incredibly consistent, the frametime deviation is 10x lower than RTSS or Nvidia's built in fps limiter The frametime graph with RTSS is perfectly flat. So how can SK have 10x lower deviation if it's already 0 with RTSS? The frametime graph of RTSS is not actually very accurate. You ...

Re: Native (plug-and-play) 8000hz mouse
Yikes, this is really cool, but 1000 hz already has many CPU issues in certain programs and games. 8000 hz is going to destroy FPS and stall the system.

Re: Special K can drastically reduce latency
That is based off an older version. This last month Kaldaien (developer of Special K), has made it his personal mission to reduce latency as much as possible. Special K is now steadier, smoother, AND less latency than any other option. Any tests to back that up though? Something with a high-speed c...

Re: Special K can drastically reduce latency
From reading it, seems like it's a framerate limiter tool, similiar to RTSS, that works as well as the nvidia one, however it does slightly worse with input lag, but has better pacing, so you should get less 1% and 0.1% dips, seems more finnicky to get working though. https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgam...
