Re: Sub 1ms monitor list

Yup, they are lying or twisting their measurements to get below that 1ms baseline, there are panels that are less then 1ms. Some of the new monitors are using it and advertise that they're using it. That Asus panel has a nice *** next to their .5ms claims.

Re: Sub 1ms monitor list

Yeah, wasn't looking for a 'verified' list as much as GtG manufacturer list. I was trying to find a resource for the new <1ms panels that were supposed to come out last year and into this year, but haven't yet or have been delayed. Some of the old model numbers that were advertised as <1ms are now u...

Sub 1ms monitor list

Is there a list available somewhere for this? Also GTG not fakes. Seems like after last winter everything went screwy with delays and rebadging and now it's all over the place. Definitely something I'm looking for, but hard to find reliably.

Re: How do OLEDs with/without BFI compare to gaming monitors

I'm actually curious why anyone thinks OLED needs BFI in the first place in the case of gaming. ULMB covers up pixel transition time. OLED has almost no pixel transition time and as such, there is no smearing between pixel states. Putting aside what the pixels are transferring from-to-from again, so...

Re: Why I'm done with 240hz

Just to input something that I don't think has been discussed here. One of the problems the VG248QE doesn't have that a PG258Q has that I think makes a very big difference is pixel smearing. The PG258Q refresh is so fast, it can refresh a pixel that never fully transitions to the next state it needs...

Re: PG258Q Weird Artifacts

So just a update on things here, I've tried a ton of different things and this seems to be a very complicated issue. It seems this specific test is good for detecting micro stuttering and problems with frame delivery, not just for testing monitors, and as such I was able to test a plethora of differ...

Re: PG258Q Weird Artifacts

That was with gsync on. I turned it off and the same thing happens. When playing games I seem to have a better experience playing with gsync off then gsync on, although just like with that test sometimes the gsync seems to work perfectly fine (observed fluidity) and I have a great experience. This i...

PG258Q Weird Artifacts

I bought a PG258Q launch and the monitor never felt as good as my VG248QE, even though specs are better. Motion always seemed to suffer and felt distorted. Eventually in manifested itself in some sort of weird text glitches.Text would appear as though one line in a character was flipped with the pix...
