Re: Thunderbolt USB

I'm currently testing Renesas UPD720201 (Febsmart). It feels pretty good, but still has oscillations between 950/1050, only part of the time now, on my system (Ryzen 7950X3D). It seems as though the latest May update might've messed around with clock generation somehow. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0...

Re: Mousetester graphs

See how my mouse behaves at 8000Hz. Absolutely unstable frequency with jumps up to 200000 Hz. I tried to bind different cores, 2, 4, 6, the result is the same. Disconnected all possible usb ports. Disable interrupt moderation. My amd 5800x processor is overclocked to a stable 4.6GHz, RAM 3800cl14 a...

Re: 8000Hz keyboards, are they needed?

Have a Huntsman V2 and definitely not going back to Corsair after buying it. Keychatter is an abomination. It was noticeable considering the Corsair was already 1khz. The keys feel nicer too. I don't think I would go to a keyboard with super low actuation as it's terrible for day to day use. Huntsma...

Re: csrss.exe priority

Has anyone had any positive impact by adjusting IO priority? I haven't touched it.

Also you're saying to adjust DWM.exe too? Whenever I've adjusted that or even touched it, bad things happen.

Talking about USB packets/polls.

Re: 13700k vs 7800x3d input lag?

I used a 13900K and a 7950X3D and prefer the X3D and wouldn't buy a new CPU without it. I don't think there is any testing to look for the sort of things we do. As far as input latency goes, they're basically identical according to Reflex testing. HuB just did a review FPS wise on them and they're v...

Re: Windows 11 Update Fixes High Polling Rate Stuttering

Mousetester should show the correct rates, some programs show 125hz due to coalescing (from what I understand they're packaging multiple packets/polls together and reducing the polling rate). Was a fan of this update as I thought it would just disallow programs from polling the mouse faster then 125...

Re: MouseTester 1.5.3 alternatives (not trustworthy)?

Manually set the affinity to one of the least used cores in the system. 0 and 1 generates spikes, especially with the newest version of windows.

Re: Reduce Input Delay (Mouse & Keyboard Buffer Size)

0 was a metaphor, approaching zero, but not being zero. Sure default value is 100, registry key isn't normally there, 0 being not applicable. Almost everyone talks about the value in terms of decimal, because using hex means almost nothing to anyone talking about this specific subject. You can use 4...

Re: Reduce Input Delay (Mouse & Keyboard Buffer Size)

You need to use decimal (assuming those translate from hex to normal decimal values). You also need to reboot between changes. This 100% does do something. You can set it to 0 and basically brick your mouse. Closer you get to 0 the better, but also start generating errors if you go too far, have to ...
