Re: 2000Hz vs 4000Hz

The reason why hardcore gamers dont use highest dpi is simple, the ultra high settings of dpi will cause to your aim to be extremelly shaky. The sensor reads too many parasite moves at high dpi so the aim is shaky and not holding the track. I have been playing kinda long time with 3200dpi and 0.xx ...

Re: After what refresh rate did you stop feeling the improvement in smoothness?

You notice it when you go to the higher end, then come back for sure. Have a 540hz and it was immediately noticeable. How much is refresh as opposed to a better panel is a good question too. Haven't tried OLED due to burn in issues.

Slow panels with fast refreshes look like smeary fingerpaints.

Re: Blurriness in Overwatch

In my case I have a Viper 8k, so wireless can't be the issue. Already covered everything suggested as per other posts. It's either my monitor or my GPU. I was playing Deep Rock Galactic Survivor the other day and it's also noticeable, but not nearly as bad, that only uses keyboard input. Mouse is on...

Re: Blurriness in Overwatch

If you don't get blurriness, then it would mean that it's specifically my computer, assuming you're using the same monitor. That's not hard to logic out. Not everyone has the same monitor. Not everyone is able to maintain the same level of FPS (1%s and .1%s at that). Nor does everyone have the same ...

Re: Blurriness in Overwatch

Neat and all, not here to argue semantics or have pissing contests based on what you think is the fastest game in existence... If I'm seeing it in Overwatch, and you don't see it in another game, does not mean it doesn't exist. You can download the game I'm pointing out there is a problem in and loo...

Re: Blurriness in Overwatch

I played Quake 3 at lan club in highschool in 99-03, I've played plenty of Quake over the years. Quake isn't anything new. And at home at the time I was playing Tribes 2.

Re: Blurriness in Overwatch

The deathadder v3 wired is also 8k polling capable but it still has a bug with the polling rate forcing you to re-plug it every boot to get it to work properly. There was a firmware update for this mouse last month that didn't actually solve the problem. https://insider.razer.com/mice-and-surfaces-...

Re: Blurriness in Overwatch

Rather interesting, so I spent some more time with this tonight as my return window is closing on my monitor, it looks like I'm starting to see the deviation and inconsistencies in my mouse polling. Somethings worth noting: -I think anyone can see this themselves in albeit artificial scenario by set...

Re: Blurriness in Overwatch

Personal preference. When younger thought it was better to play at the highest DPI a mouse offered (grew up in 90s), slowly ratcheting up as each new mouse offered higher DPI, then stopped as mice seemed to get janky when using higher DPIs around 8200 (which was the sensor limitation at the time). 8...

Re: Blurriness in Overwatch

So lets use a bit of logic here. Mouse movement is directional, meaning every way you move your hand results in a equal movement on screen. Sens and DPI is multiplicative on these effects. Therefore for the screen to be 'blurry' or 'hazy', my hand would have to exhibit said behavior. Furthermore you...
