Re: BenQ XL2720Z overclocked to 220Hz and 250Hz [SUCCESS!]

Is it 250 Hz at 1080p? With what settings exactly did you manage to run it at 250 Hz? Yes. I'm really not sure how. I'm using a DisplayPort cable and NVIDIA graphics card. What could different to your setup is I'm using Zowie V008 firmware and Zowie XL display driver (BENQ display driver makes no d...

Re: 144hz Main Monitor stutter with 60hz secondary connected

This got quite a lot more attention on Reddit than I was expecting, and in multiple subreddits too. Hopefully Mr Chief Blur Buster can chime in too and provide valuable feedback, and possibly even compare his findings to mine and see what he thinks of the situation. From my understanding I believe o...

Re: BenQ XL2720Z overclocked to 220Hz and 250Hz [SUCCESS!]

Wow 280Hz, very nice. I'm a little confused reading that.. sounds like there's a little more to it than simply setting a preset. Also I wonder if it would work for XL2720Z. I do have my XL2720Z pushed to the (known) limit of 250Hz which I have been using for a while (after deciding to push more than...

Re: BenQ UNIVERSAL 144Hz->220Hz OVERCLOCK for 1080p 144 Hz

OOR Fixer updated to 1.3 Now accepts initial and setting delays as launch parameters.[/i] Thanks, that has helped. In some rare cases it wasn't worked as expected, so an additional 500ms has fixed it. Something else that would be awesome if possible, the Windows power plan that puts the monitor to ...

Re: BenQ XL2720Z overclocked to 220Hz and 250Hz [SUCCESS!]

Did some more research. OK, - I found out the NVIDIA drivers, is indeed, using 6bpc. You're right on that count. - BUT my current NVIDIA drivers is apparently doing GPU-side temporal dithering. Neat. GPU-side FRC! Today I learned, temporal dithering is a feature of NVIDIA graphics drivers, permanen...

Re: BenQ XL2720Z overclocked to 220Hz and 250Hz [SUCCESS!]

Well I found out how to get 165hz working. The timings posted cause frameskipping every 2 seconds. I had to use these settings: HT: 2005 VT: 1088 165hz This kept pixel clock at 359.94 mhz and 8 bit color, and there was no frameskipping. 8 bpc stops Overwatch from becoming horribly banded. I think o...

Re: BenQ XL2720Z overclocked to 220Hz and 250Hz [SUCCESS!]

Hey thanks Mr Chief, glad to see it get the Chief seal of approval - your passion for monitor technology is quite something :) I'm quite surprised too this hadn't yet been discovered. Either that or someone had been keeping it to themselves all this time. My technique for recording was basically usi...

Re: BenQ XL2720Z overclocked to 220Hz

Hi Falkentyne I'm 99% sure which is why I'm hoping someone with the same monitor and better testing methods can confirm. I tested a game locked at 220Hz with VSYNC enabled and everything was fine. I tested CRU and that also worked, although the colours were a little messed up, so that wasn't working...

BenQ XL2720Z overclocked to 220Hz and 250Hz [SUCCESS!]

It's quite simple, set the following timings: Refresh rate: 220Hz Active pixels: 1920, 1080 Front porch: 24, 3 Sync width: 32, 5 Total pixels: 1984*, 1094* Polarity: Positive, Positive (unsure if changing this has any effect) * Total pixel settings required may vary depending on GPU & cable used. If...
