Thank you very much RealNC for responding, much appreciated. Turns out I was able to get HW Independent Flip on a DX9 game by modifying the game's config file to go beyond 60hz.

I may have to take a look at dgvoodoo2 though for DX8 games, so appreciate the suggestion there.

Does anyone know if the following is accurate, based on my testing it seems there are only two presentation models for DX9 games on Windows 11:

Hardware: Legacy Flip
Composed: Copy with GPU GDI

That's so weird. I don't have the black screen delay when alt tabbing like I did on my asus 540hz. I'm running 600hz over hdmi 2.1 on my 4090 and there's no black screen.
Are you playing DX11 games or older with Fullscreen Exclusive enabled? That's where you will see it. DX12 games don't matter ...

I contacted zowie support and they claimed in chat (and email from another team member) that 600hz runs over hmdi 2.1, but one of them seems to think it still uses dsc.

However, I got my monitor earlier today and connected it via hdmi and then enabled 600hz... I no longer have a few second pause ...

I don't know what has happened but I'm getting a ton of screen tearing now when I have my refresh rate at 60hz and using a custom resolution profile in CRU. I am using RTSS to cap games at 60FPS and my card is a 3090, but I remember when I originally got the monitor I didn't have this problem ...

I am only on a single screen, so I theory I shouldn't be impacted? I'm running the Passmark test right now. Maybe I should try running two tests with LLM on Ultra and Off.
