Re: LG C2: is there a way to minimize input lag and the stutter sensation of 60FPS at 120hz?

At least you're a PC gamer. For a console peasant like me the C2 is pretty much a nightmare for "older" games that run at 30 FPS. GoWR on performance mode and HFF+VRR looks good, but RDR2 with its 30 FPS looks like I'm going to get a stroke or something. Lmao! Man, I miss my plasma...

LG C2: is there a way to minimize input lag and the stutter sensation of 60FPS at 120hz?

Recent games don't like running at high framerates and 4k. I hate the bluriness of FSR so would prefer to lock framerate to a lower value and disable dynamic scaling.

The problem is 60, 70, even 90FPS feels as though the input delay could be measured in seconds and all onscreen movement is stuttery ...

Is anyone not experiencing stutter and increased input lag on Adrenaline 24.x.x drivers?

The 24-series GPU drivers from AMD are at 24.7.1 now and, like all previous 24.x releases, the system-wide stutters and increased input lag relative to the 23.12.1 drivers are still present for me. I've tried on both Windows 10 and 11, existing and fresh installs.

The notes for the first few ...

You shouldn't undervolt anything, you will only make the PC unstable.

As long as we're giving unsolicited advice, never use a motherboard's auto voltage settings for vcore or the IMC (vccsa and vccio). The overvoltage leads to excess heat and potential silicon degradation if sustained. Gigabyte ...

Disabling Intel C-states fixes all my input and stutter problems, but CPU temps become unreasonable.

Even with aggressive undervolting, my 14700K hits 100C in relatively undemanding games with C-states disabled. Enabling it drops max temps by ~50C. Cooling method makes no difference - I even removed the CPU from my custom loop and threw on a chunky air cooler with no change to temperatures.

Is ...

Framerate fluctuates with RTSS limit and GSync.

2560x1440 @ 120hz (119.998)

I've tried numerous limits in RTSS - 116, 117, xxx.998, etc. - but in game (Division 2 mainly) my monitor GUI shows the refresh rate going wild from 110 to 120 which is causing noticeable stutters. Without RTSS, it stays at 120 but then there's increased input lag.

It ...

Any way to alleviate the input lag and sense of stuttery movement in a game locked at 60 FPS?

I've wanted to play Elden Ring since it was released, but the method for removing the hard 60 FPS cap requires playing offline, in addition to higher framerates affecting physics processing.

Is there anything I can do to reduce the perceived or real stutter and delay in relation to input and ...

Question about "'Exact' Refresh Rate test"

For reference:
Official(?) thread
Test

I get three different results - one from the test embedded in the thread, the test page, and the test page in full screen. I allowed each plenty of time to settle on a final result. The differences aren't huge, but I'm curious if this is normal since ...
