Re: World first zowie XL2540 240hz 60hz singlestrobe? Experiment.
Sadly new XL2546K also without 60Hz single strobe. Rtings review confirm range 100-240. This is a nightmare. All 240Hz BenQ supports single strobe at 75-240Hz. RTINGS currently only tests EDID reported settings, but if you create 75 Hz vis CRU, it supports 75 Hz single strobe. Hey Chief, If you're ...

Re: Headache and eyes strain with new 240Hz monitor
After suffering from semi-regular headaches for several months that I thought were related to looking at my strobing-enabled XL2546, I maybe went a smidge crazy trying to understand why. I tried turning off the strobing feature. Seemed to work...maybe? But over the course of several days it became a...

Monitor Scratch Repair & Haze Treatment
Like many before me, I recently experienced the misfortune of finding I'd significantly scratched the screen of my XL2546 during a move. The scratch was about a centimeter long, but it was just slightly to the left of the screen's exact center. When the screen was turned on, it produced a sort of ra...

Re: BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN
But correct me if I'm wrong. Why would anyone use this monitor (TN in this case) for the reasons you stated? If experience of reading other people posts and experiences suggest that other monitors (IPS) in this regard, provide much better experience? Or am I wrong about that? Or of course, you like...

Re: Desk Setup Thread! [POST YOUR PICS]
Pretty new here but since i just changed my monitor arms and cleaned up i thought its share worthy. https://i.imgur.com/PXp2xsF.jpg https://imgur.com/a/h7pcJJR - some details Necroing to ask about the stand for your middle monitor. It looks like that pole is coming out of a grommet you drilled in t...

Re: BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN
But using TN over IPS gets you that overall feeling of snappier feeling. Besides, why would anyone use 2546K without dyac...and with dyac the monitor is just bonkersly better than the rest in terms of ufo test in particular. I have the non-K XL2546 and the only reason I use it without DyAc enabled ...

Re: LG OLED CX 120Hz BFI
Interesting, the 2019 OLEDs have a 60Hz BFI mode. So, going by your explanation the 2019 OLED panels may actually be refreshing at 120Hz in BFI mode to show all 60 frames and the new 2020 OLEDs could be refreshing at 240Hz to show all 120 frames? My previous post in this thread is wrong, so I'll gi...

Re: LG OLED CX 120Hz BFI
Disclaimer -- I think this is correct, but if anyone reading this notices an error, please reply with a correction. The 120 Hz black frame insertion won't work with 120 Hz content because the way it works is that it converts every other frame to pure black. Frametime at 60 Hz is ~16.67 milliseconds ...

Re: Zowie XL2546 crosstalk questions/concerns & help needed.
<Technical> From Simple Bandwidth Math 101 -- if you're using Vertical Total of 1125 (VT1125) for 1080p 240Hz then to maintain horizontal scanrate, new VT becomes (originalVT * originalHz / newHz) = 1125 * 240 / 100 = VT2700. But not all 240 Hz monitors will successfully accept a VT2700 manually. *...

Re: Zowie XL2546 crosstalk questions/concerns & help needed.
Thanks for your input, anything else you want to tell me/might influence my decision is welcome. Hey, though this was directed at chief I'll give my input on what I think I competently can. First of all, do you mind sharing your settings on your moniter? As in the brightness, contrast, R/G/B, etc, ...
