So first impressions ...
Thanks for your thoughts about the monitor! I'm surprised about the VRB brightness since I had to use the 390hz model with VRB off because of the low brightness.

Instant price cuts to £500, ordered myself one. 50% off Vs Asus and Zowie for the same panel!
where can you buy it `?
I ordered from overclockers UK, but looks like Scan and Ebuyer also have stock
Does it have strobing up to 540 hz? How is the brightness?

Re: New Zowie Monitor 540Hz XL2586X

DSC should never be on when using hdmi 2.1 at the resolutions possible with XL2586X no? Asus PG248QP has HDMI 2.0 with only 18 Gb/s bandwidth (and DP 1.4), so it needs to use DSC. Maybe this causes the confusion?

Re: New Zowie Monitor 540Hz XL2586X

You can of course compare Hz 480 on Oled vs 540 on IPS or TN. I can tell you that most likely the Oled will win this comparison. However, if you put motion clarity into your consideration, BLS / BFI is by far ahead on IPS or FastTN. If you care about colors, go buy Oled, if you care about motion cl...

Re: Acer Nitro XV242F (540hz TN) discussion

A little update: A swedish store has it for preorder at 9 990 Kr which is about 875 euros, release this month: https://www.inet.se/produkt/2224309/acer-24-nitro-xv242f-540-hz I was expecting it to land around 700-750 euros at nordics. Seems like it's not distributed as much as the 390 hz model was. ...

Re: LG 27” 1440P 480Hz OLED CES 2024

Here's the asus model using the LG panel. According to this guy it's glossy, has BFI (only up to 120 hz, but maybe even 240 or higher, not confirmed) and comes out H2 2024. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFRc8b1yQEA TFTcentral corroborates a lot of this stuff, article here: https://tftcentral.co.uk...

Re: Xl2566k going black randomly

I had this same behaviour with my Acer XV252q, it was due to a faulty cable. Replacing the cable fixed it for me. Changed like 3 dp's and 3 power cables and it didn't get fixed so I sent it back to service today. Hopefully they fix it or at least I get to know it's not the monitor because I bought ...
