Re: Electricity input lag fix !

I was thinking maybe you can add EMI shielding by yourself? Like what if you cover the mobo with an anti-electric conductive material, then cover that with copper tape (for shielding)? I don't foresee any heat problems as I don't think anything needs much cooling on the mobo, even then, if you used ...

Using USB network adapter?

So I'm wondering, has anyone tried experimenting with USB network adapters vs the onboard stuff? Like buy something like this: USB Network Adapter Syncwire USB 3.0 to RJ45 And then use that instead of a LAN cable? My reasoning behind this is it would reduce the EMI affecting the LAN chip on the moth...

Re: Electricity input lag fix !

Ok so I tested with the spread spectrum on and off for a few hours and it definitely feels better with it off. I don't have any electricity issues, so I would assume that with it off yields best results, and that is true, but maybe other people might wanna try enabling it if they know they have elec...

Re: Electricity input lag fix !

For those wondering what spread spectrum does, it effectively varies the various clocks (CPU, PCIe, etc...) on the mobo, and is not a good idea to do if you're overclocking as it will destabilize it, even in general. https://www.anandtech.com/show/2500/20 I think the reason it worked for the user he...

Re: How can I disable GPU clocks lowering to save power?

It doesn't have to be open, you just need to tick the "apply settings at windows startup" and it won't even open on boot or even run. At least this is with msi afterbuner, no idea about that EVGA thing. I’ve used MSI Afterburner for years and I’m pretty sure that applying the settings at Windows st...

Re: Triple buffering, flip queue, D3D9ex, FastSync...

How does Win7's Aero (and I presume Win10) allow frames to go above 60 for Borderless window games (isn't that only FastSync's trick)? Where do games write if you have NVidia's Reflex, aka 0 pre-rendered frames, in DirectX games (where's the buffer)? Why do games offer Vsync these days if they're f...

Re: Re installing windows

I also recommend Fr33thy's guide windows a-z.

He's recently updated his windows 10 A-Z cause he started going through input latency tests.

Re: How can I disable GPU clocks lowering to save power?

Not sure what these guys are posting here, but only way it worked for me was to open up MSI afterbuner and just lock the clock speed at a specific hz, that's it. I tried this yesterday with EVGA Precision X1 and they have a Boost Lock feature that was able to lock it using the voltage curve like in...

Re: Control freeze on Rtx 3090 - is my card unstable?

On my 2060 super I remember having a lot of crashing issues with dark souls 3, but all other games worked fine. After searching around some guy said it helped if he downclocked his GPU, which I thought was weird since I didn't overclock my GPU, but I gave it a go cause I was out of options. I reduce...

Re: Some mysterious effects on gameplay

Update - tl;dr - I found out a big factor for difference between single vs dual memory is ... memory size The memory kit is 2x8G and dual channel will have 16G total. I limited the memory size to 8G using "bcdedit /set truncatememory", and the gameplay starts to feel significantly snappier. This re...
