Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!
What's insane to me are all the headlines from mainstream publications denouncing this monitor as some type of 'overkill' or 'only for that 1% of gamers...' it's almost like they don't check the steamcharts to see what games are most played: https://steamcharts.com/ or like they don't really play g...

I think that PCIE x4 USB cards will go to the chipset, except maybe on HEDT motherboardsChief Blur Buster wrote: ↑09 Mar 2021, 15:14the priority was to offload USB processing from the motherboard chipset, so it's not sharing USB processing (dedicated USB chip), USB traffic (hub contention) or PCIe lanes (lane contention).

Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.
Just want to add something I've found recently re: best USB port practices for USB Hi-speed devices. It seems that in most cases, USB is trafficked through the chipset, which shares traffic with various other things like audio devices, and especially storage devices (SATA, or NVME in a chipset m.2.)...

pixart sensors per their specsheets have a temperature operating temp of 40deg c i guess the reason for this is because they're infrared sensors and hot objects radiate in that spectrum. i think that in 10 or 20 years, mouse sensors might be using UV light. no heat contamination, superior imaging r...

Re: Optimization Hub for beginners
Just want to add that https://github.com/miniant-git/REAL is a way to reduce a little bit of audio latency in some systems. I also performed some audio latency testing on the following devices, in CSGO, using a 400FPS cap and the minimum allowable audio buffer Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro onboard audio: ...

Re: SPDIF VS ANALOG lowest Audio latency?
Put a microphone next to your mouse and your headphone. Recording from the microphone in something like Adobe Audition, fire a gun in a game using Mouse1. Then you can measure the difference between the click and the gunshot noise in order to find out audio latency in ms.

Haven't had any stuttering in any of those myself. Could be some platform-specific intricacies involved.Boop wrote: ↑28 Jan 2021, 11:54https://youtu.be/y7zpzpKoAdE
It looks like in this video RJN has issues with a 8000hz in a lot of games. Is that the experience of other 8kHz users in the same games?
