Re: New Zowie Monitor 540Hz XL2586X

Bit surprised at no g-sync module on a 540hz panel, even though Zowie never used them in the past on their TNs

Interested to see:
- What is the strobing range?
Asus 540hz only strobes at 360hz or higher
- Is DSC active at 540hz?
The representative was ambiguous on the matter

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

Reflex Analyzer is pretty cool
I get 1ms - 3.5 ms (average: 2.6ms) of total system input delay using this monitor + Razer Viper V2 Pro in Half Life 1. Much more (5~8ms) in Overwatch 2, probably because of higher GPU utilization I guess.

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

New super fun discovery about this monitor. When you boot a game that automatically turns on HDR (e.g. Armored Core 6), there's no way to avoid it - no forced-HDR-off option on the monitor It will do this no matter what you do. It will do it with HDR disabled ingame, it will do it with HDR disabled ...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

I can confirm that when in gsync mode this monitor likes to randomly get 2-3 second black screens during gameplay, like a couple people said earlier

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

missing crucial competitive gaming features I guess only BenQ cares enough to offer. at least the refresh rate was impressive. you mean extra contrast, black equalizer and color settings? Please elaborate if u have time. That and no setting on the monitor to tweak sharpness. These are things that n...

Re: 360hz in a 250FPS locked game

I would set the monitor to 240hz, enable strobing and use fast-sync (if the game supports it) or scanline sync if not. From my testing fast-sync is faster than scanline sync these days. But some games don't support fast-sync very well

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

is anyone else with this monitor having black screens when tabbing out? it only lasts for like a second or two but its really annoying. turning dsc off fixes it but them im restricted to 360hz. using the "esports pro mode" under aspect control also fixes it but them im restricted to low 4:3 resolut...

Re: liyama 514 177 Hz vs Asus 540 Hz

The OLEDs will be even faster no?
But the motion clarity of strobed 540hz TN is unbeaten

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

Do you think this lamination problem is specific to Asus or to AUO ? should we expect this same problem on the Acer Nitro XV242F ? I'm sure AUO is pro enough to not do something boneheaded like laminate a shitton of plastic in front of their panel. If you buy a panel from them it will probably just...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

tftcentral review available : https://tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/asus-rog-swift-pro-pg248qp "On occasion the low pixel density also resulted in evidence of the “screen door effect” we found, where a fine grid-like pattern could be seen across the screen, although this tended to only be noticeable whe...
