Re: Freesync's static overdrive - will I notice the difference?

Apologies in advance if this topic has been beaten half to death. I'm in the market for a 24" 240hz 1080p monitor and have identified the VG259QM as a likely candidate (good for both productivity & gaming). Freesync's static overdrive setting has me a bit worried, though. I play games like Valorant...

Re: ASUS TUF GAMING VG279QM

If anyone is interested here is how crosstalk looks with ELMB SYNC ( Adaptive-Sync + ELMB ). Top, middle and bottom of the screen, 280Hz, middle cyan. And here is how classic ELMB looks (without Adaptive-Sync): https://www.aperturegrille.com/reviews/ASUSVG279QM/Images/Strobe-UFO-280Hz.jpg VG279QM @2...

Looks like his old VG248QE or VG278HE or something, judging from the per line overdrive.
OK, thanks mate.

Re: Odyssey G7 vs HP Omen 27 x

you know im not competive player but i simply cant stand blur, cant concentrate to playing than and my eyes hurts, only think which i like on G7 is 32 inch, which is immersive and better black contrast. Omen after calibration got nice colours, lacks only in contrast ratio, but not too bad on TN pane...

Re: Dimmed screen when enabling/disabling adaptive sync - VG279QM

R9 290X is an officially supported freesync GPU. The first GPUs that supported Freesync were "Some" of the 200 series cards. The 285X and 290X were officially supported, even the 260 was supported. But the 280X (based on the HD 7970) was not supported, unless this changed sometime later. There seem...

Re: Dimmed screen when enabling/disabling adaptive sync - VG279QM

I've seen this happen on AMD cards before. No idea why. I saw this on my XL2746S when I was briefly testing freesync on a AMD r9 290X. I think I managed to fix it by unplugging and replugging in the cable or something. I just found out this only happens on DP cable, not on HDMI. But I don't want th...

Re: Dimmed screen when enabling/disabling adaptive sync - VG279QM

Is it something to do with the 280hz mode? Have you tried creating a cru 280hz entry that way you don't need to select overclock on the monitor? Tried this one already. Factory reset? Factory reset also didn't help. BTW Maybe it's placebo, but I've been using hdmi with this monitor and it feels muc...
