Re: Is it true Ryzen has higher input lag than Intel? Is there conclusive data to prove this?

We can keep our heads stuck in the sand and pretend that latency doesn't exist, or we can acknowledge the problem and finally begin to address it. As latency becomes more of a problem nowadays than ever (Windows 10, Ryzen, game developers buffering frames to boost FPS instead of properly optimizing ...

Don't touch Windows 10 with a stick if you want decent input.

Is it true that AMD Ryzen has a larger input lag?
No, it's just happy Ryzen owners that can't wait to switch back to Intel.

Re: 100+ ms frametime spike on 2 different pc builds.

I doubt power is going to cause 100+ ms stalls. Not impossible, but unlikely. I would first rule out BIOS power-saving options or Windows misconfiguration. You seem to be running a newer version of Windows, but all of the recent builds have been progressively getting worse. Did you run Latencymon wh...

Re: higher input lag since switching to zen 2 (high speed te

I did some testing with my old cpu and yes, I can definitely tell a difference. Not sure if it's due to amds architecture or this motherboards usb design in particular. I used this cpu with a b450 board before i bought an x570 board due to booting issues and I didn't notice any latency issues while...

Re: higher input lag since switching to zen 2 (high speed te

Ryzen has higher input lag than Intel and there is little you can do about it. It's why I switched to a 9700K from a 2700 only a year later. I noticed the input lag right away after building my PC having been using Intel before. What you can do to mitigate the issue is to disable SMT.
