Denserly packed LED maxtrix (17 rows this time) and more finetuning = narrower scan line

the force is weak with you :D CRTs have a lot of problems, but bad, washed-out picture in any setting (bringter or darker) is not an issue on a good CRT. While it's true crts do not show great contrast results in white-black patterns all over the screen, but in real life situations - kind of nah-ah....

maybe im not fully understand how things work, but i propose not digital bars, bur rather real material (plastic or whatever) bars between LED rows :D like this bars.gif it allows a really diffuse material (or several layers of one) to be used, smoothing out almoust all beading, and still preventing...

in the first post i used horizontal, perpendicular to a screen surface bars between LED rows to prevent leakage in the second gif, with blurbusters.com on the screen . its probably not a DIY solution due to how monitor manufacturers arrange FALD, but its something that could be done on the factory. ...

but its just regular blinking. im talking about imitating scanline movement to make it look more like CRT. people saying, with the same frequency LCD strobbing looks worse than CRT blinking. One of the reasons is that on CRT there is always horizontal strip of shining pixels moving top to bottom

Why dont LCDs with LED backlight imitate CRT strobing by turning on and off rows of led? like first millisecond the rows 1 and 2 on, then 2 and 3, then 3 and 4 and so on. Or its not possible to do that fast enought? i mean its not rotating the crystals, just on\off some led elements...
