Re: Where are all the 4k 120+Hz monitors?
The first 4K 144hz monitors required chroma subsampling which degraded image quality. Displayport 1.4 + DSC (display stream compression) solved the image quality problem of 4K 144hz but only the latest GPU's and monitors feature it. On top of that full HDR on PC is very expensive, so there few produ...

Re: Help with G-Sync on LG 49NANO85
So, I'm not sure how or why this fixed the problem but when I switched the Vertical sync setting in NVCPL to "Use the 3D application setting" I get G-sync at 120Hz. From what I have been reading I'm supposed to set Vsync to "on" along with G-Sync. But, perhaps that is no longer the case with the la...

Re: "Eve Spectrum" - 1440p 240hz 1ms IPS Monitor (LG Panel)
I'm a little skeptical about the time frame this launches (end of this year), no big monitors makers have made any announcements about HDMI 2.1 support and it's currently only appearing in higher end TV's. Obviously a chipset with HDMI 2.1 support is required, maybe there is one in development by so...

Re: Why are there no 240hz+ OLED monitors yet?
There are very few companies who have the production capacity to make OLED panels for PC monitors, the few available are extremely expensive . A company like BenQ is unlikely to jump on that as a result unless someone is pumping out OLED panels for laptops that can be re-purposed for PC monitor usag...

Re: G-Sync Added To LG OLED
Having a GTX 1070 and C9, I can say that NvIdia did indeed lock out 10 series cards. Bummer. GTX 1070 has HDMI 2.0b output, so I don't see why this wouldn't be capable, besides the money issues of investing in non revenue driving products. They clearly are angling this update to make you buy a new ...
