Re: XL2586X+ (600hz) questions
I contacted zowie support and they claimed in chat (and email from another team member) that 600hz runs over hmdi 2.1, but one of them seems to think it still uses dsc.
However, I got my monitor earlier today and connected it via hdmi and then enabled 600hz... I no longer have a few second pause ...

Re: ASUS OLED PG27AQDP and inconsistent lag in ELMB mode
So nice to see you again, Strobemaster!
This is all beyond me, but I'm going to take a guess that you have an Nvidia video card? I had problems with RTSS scanline sync not giving proper frame synchronization before, and I don't know why nor do I know what made it happen.

Re: How much Nits is XG 270 when strobing?
WOW so we got screwed with the XG2431 OMG
Why didn't anybody tell me this I could have just gotten the XG 270 when it was available
You are telling me we are now stuck with a crappier version of blur buster when we could have had 290 nits?
This is brighter than the Zowie DYAC 2 280 nits OMG
200 ...

Re: XG2431 Alternatives in 2024?
Yep, XG272 OLED can only strobe at most 4.2ms persistance at 60hz, which is the same as 240hz native, and while that is still miles better than regular 60hz, the loss of brightness makes things very rough. Maybe eventually this will change.

Re: Did I unfairly judge strobing?
For a 360Hz monitor with ULMB 2, NVIDIA claims an effective clarity of 1440Hz. Using this as a reference point, would a 540Hz strobing rate translate to an effective clarity of 2160Hz? Or am I off the mark?
Also is that the same for dyac+/dyac2? So a 360Hz ULMB 2 = 1440Hz clarity and dyac ...

After some testing on with the Animation Timing Deviation graph, Ive found out that Armoury Crate (Asus RGB Software) and L-Connect 3 (Lian-li RGB software) were causing stuter on the graph. Ive found out that after disabling all of their processes in the Task Manager.
Now. playing at 200 fps is ...

Re: Viewsonic XG272-2K OLED - BlurBusters Verified? BFI?
Not really, Blur Buster 2.2 approval would mean it could do 60 HZ strobing which is quite useful for a lot of people.
We just have no way to know if it actually supports this
And the ASUS monitor with strobing got bad red from unboxed because something regarding the black frame being terrible ...

The monitor's downloadable manual claims it does...paradox404 wrote: ↑24 Jun 2024, 06:48This monitor doesn't have BFI. Acording to this - https://blurbusters.com/new-blur-buster ... d-devices/ - yellow blurbusters logo (which this monitor have) means it doesn't have BFI, simple as that.

Re: Viewsonic XG272-2K OLED - BlurBusters Verified? BFI?
So how's the BFI on this at real 60hz?
I'm guessing no one wants to buy the monitor since it's $900. But it is available. And there are SOME people here who are well to do enough to be able to afford this unit.
Surprised no one has even bothered to buy one and test it (after all you CAN return it ...

How do you know that it's not the video card giving up the fritz?
